General Game-Breakers need Game-time.

Just a thought I have. I reckon we need all our playmakers on the field all at once.
We need Hohaia, there.
We need Rovelli there,
We need Fien there.

But for mine I'd have Hohaia in 7,
Rovelli in 6
Fien in 9

And between them they change around, pending what part of the field they are.
I dont think we can afford to have any of these coming off the bench as we need to hit the park with all the strike-power we can muster.

I'm with ya DMM. I don't know why Rovelli starts on the bench. Hopefullt we will see these changes this weekend.

Excellent thought, DMM... I wonder why Cleary hasn`t had that thought yet.

I think there is more to it than that. The quality of the ball has to increase ten fold IMO.

Seen these options talked about all over the forums.
And it does make sense. Something needs to change that's for sure.

Cleary is probably willing to give Fien more time in the Number 7 jersey and Sione more time in the Number 6 until he feels it is absolutely necessary that he changes it. I predicted last year that if we did not play well in the first few rounds that people would be calling for Hohaia at halfback and Sione in the forwards. Go me.

Why does everyone suddenedly want Hohaia back in 7, the man hasn't played there for how long?
Keep him at 9
Rovelli -7 because he needs experience/confidence (although who has ever met an aussie league player lacking confidence)
Fien -6.....the man has heart, and was it just me or did he seem like the only player that really wanted to win on saturday.....he gave it everything i thought.

Hear what you're saying northwarrior, and for that matter everybody else.
The main point I am making is that to have the three on the park at the same time must be a huge plus for our chances of succeeding.
Forget the numbers on their backs. That means nothing cause they can inter-swap, depending on where they are on the park. Hohaia is doing that now, or have you's not noticed. Once he is hooker and then he is packing down at the back of the pack.
As I said previously, be good to see what they can offer if they were on the park at the same time.

if cleary has put so much effort in converting sione to a 5/8 i doubt he would want to give up on the idea just after 1 game. ropati should be on the bench. he is not a 5/8 as he has shown time and time again.

6. rovelli
7. hohaia
9. fien

we are playing players out of position too much...fien is a good hooker...hohaia is a good halfback and rovelli will excel at 5/8. i hope cleary has the balls to make the changes. im sure he will perservere with fien and fauimuina (when he comes back) though....

I think some of the accusations against Fien isn't really fare. yes he's probably had apt time to adapt but you can't always expect things to go absolutely smoothly. There will always been bumps along the way. Although he had played alot at halfback with the Cowboys, how many times was he even know to have played? Secondly, this whole thing with Sione at 6..truth be told the idea never appealed to me there was just something wrong with it. I don't doubt he's good wherever the heck you put him but it just doesn't suit him. Ropo..well not the greatest performance against the Eels that would indicate he wants the job that much. Hohaia...if he isn't stuck on the bench for so long then I think it's possible to use him on a regular basis. Rovelli-probably has a bit more to prove of himself but I think he's one to take into consideration very seriously at some point. If anything I think it's his vision that has impressed me the most.

i think we should have fien, lance and rovelli all on the field at once, and have impact players such as vuna, bit of young blood coming off the bench brining on speed. we need fien lance and roveeli to get as much time on the field together as possible so they can form some combinations, for this to happen when sione is back we need him out of the halves and in the back row. let the other three boys play together and see what happens.
