Based on 2015 the club thought Tui was capable at fullback..., they were clearly wrong. The biggest mistake was once Fusitua was tried and was carving up they dropped Ayshford and put Fusitua back to centre. His long term future may be centre but they should have kept Fusitua at fullback for 2016 IMO

I see Fusitua at Wing, not centre?....... He scored some of the best finishes to tries this year. Tries nobody else could have scored in the corner. I think we have a problem with Manu and Ken. I think it might be time for them to consider becoming forwards. Lets face it Manu hits it up more than most of the forwards anyway. Could Ken learn Centre?
Hingano could be used as part of a trade for that big prop we need? Drop hoffman (whats he on?), Ayshford is off contract?
If that doesnt work trade Johnson for a first class big bopper and run Lolohea and Foran. ;-p

Lolohea isn't even 1/4 of the half that Shaun Johnson is. Why would you run Lolohea and Foran?

Yes, I agree that Lolohea's development has been stuffed around by the club. Yes, he has immense potential. But it's just potential. He hasn't realised much of it at all in first grade for the warriors. But he's also played gun shy and been disinterested most of this year. Go back to round 1 and look at his stats. He really didn't seem to try to push his case much at all.
Drop Hoffman? From a big contract that might be back-ended? Ayshford is contracted until the end of next year and isn't on a lot anyway (media reported $145k earlier in the year - if they were to drop him, that would free up circa $45k to pick up someone else, given the warriors top 25 are all on circa $100k).

the warriors largely play split halves. there isn't much difference between 6 and 7. People complained for the first few games with Robson at 7 and Shaun Johnson at 6, but in the latter part of the season, Leuluai was receiving a fair bit of ball at first receiver with Shaun Johnson at second receiver...
Hoffman is off contract at the end of next season. he signed for 3 years, the second year just finished.
Shaun Johnson isn't an organising half. But he has Foran to help with that this season.

Shaun Johnson is a freak play half. That's his mo.
He does his best work when everyone else is charging, so he can step back and figure out how to fuck the other team at the death.
Shaun Johnson plays well when he has players playing well to make him look good. Otherwise he puts everything back in the cupboard and lives off his first 2-3 years as a player mini legacy.

OK. So if your a forward playing along side Shaun Johnson, busting your ass on every hit up and every tackle, don't you want him to sidestep 7 tacklers in the last minute of the game to get the victory for the club? I mean after all that effort, a victory is what you were working for wasn't it?
Team sport is about team work isn't it? Players forgetting how amazing they are and doing the job for their mates. Shaun Johnson just happens to have the job of pretty boy, game breaker. It doesn't make him a better person than anyone else. But it sure is handy when you need some points heading down the stretch.
