Before the Warriors existed, I used to be a Rabbitoh supporter. They used to be successful up to around 1989. Since 1990 it has been slim pickings for them and whilst I still have an affinity for the club, the way many of their fans reacted against the Warriors when they were removed from the competition require my needing them to be thrashed when we play them. Half to death in fact. I will happily cheer them against every other team unless it suits the Warriors purposes for them to lose.

Looking at the form of Souths, and having belief in our team, this match should be a lay down misere. Why do sense that it won't be? The absolute bollocking the League media - led by Mr.Gould - are rightly giving their perfomances and state as a team are around the theme that it will take an utterly woeful performance for any team to lose to them.

The average points leading into the game with the Rabbits still to play this round (but factoring ours in) is 18-17 to them and it could be argued they have played at teams of least equal ability, if not more. So if, hypothetically, we were to lose this match are we dead certainties for the spoon? If so please expand and give us all hope. If not, drive the point home so we can wallow in self doubt.

NB: Positivity and negativity are both welcome in this thread. Come in and make yourself at home.

Not yet, PB.

It will be tough, but I still think they can turn it around. They'll need some luck though and a few video ref decisions to start going their way.

Last nights call be Steve "I hate the Warriors" Nash was, IMO clearly wrong. How many times do Aussie refs blow up a knock on when the ball comes loose?

I'm still wondering how they ever gave a try last night.

If we can only put 2 tries on the worst defensive team in the comp I reckon we deserve the spoon.

Tell Joey Johns to pack it up and send it on over.

Mate,
I cast my vote yes....but, you never know.
IMO the warriors just can't seem to kill time & complete sets of six and adjust their game plan when required.

What game plan? They`d have to HAVE one in order to adjust it. It`s time to get back on the training field and learn/re-learn the basics... this season`s down the toilet, but if we can see a major change in the Warriors by July or August it`ll give us something to hope for in 2007. (combination of positive and negative criticism, but that`s the way I see it)

Most aussie refs are MAGGOTSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS they have lost our team at least 20 games during the last 5 years. And there not stupid either they only f*ck us when they can get away with it mostly being
dodgy video ref calls. I don't know if there rasist or they don't think we belong in the nrl but it's blaintly obvious they will screw us any chance they get. Here's a question when's the last time you can remember a video ref making a 50-50 desision that would have won us the game???

I don't think we will end up with the spoon but we certianly won't make the 8 imo. even before the -4 points i thought we would miss the 8 and that next year would be our year in the 8 again. we lost lots of quality players over the off season and also changed coach so it was always going to take time for our team to recover. if we had played well we might have just scraped the 8 but being -4 points at the start of the season killed off any chance we had of making the 8.

I don't think we will get the spoon either. sure we play badly at times but I think we will win enough games to miss the spoon this year.

I think you`re right, Esoj. It always takes time for a new coach and new players to form a winning team, and this is a re-building year. Your prediction seems realistic to me.
