General Feedback from Warriors CEO meeting two

The second of a series of fan based meetings happened last night between aprox 25 interested people from at least 3 different forums and Wayne Scurrah and his marketing man, Richard Howarth.

It amazes me just how interested the Warriors are in our suggestions.

Topics covered were,

Season ticket incentives/priveleges
on field entertainment
utilising the entertainment area in the new east stand
smoking/non smoking policies
the mad butcher plans to release an awen guttenbiel limited ed t shirt
food
early bird season ticket holders sales incentives
car parking
cheer leaders
fan days
costs of tickets for warriors season tix holders if they want to attend a game in aussie.

very positive meeting, very open and no agendas.

every question was answered.

I have met Richard Howarth before when he started with the New Zealand Knights becuase he tracked me down in a korean soccer forum and was interested in signing a korean player or two to attract koreans living in auckland to the games.

He appeared very open to ideas then and was even generous enough to give me two free season tickets for what was about an hour long meeting.

Maybe they could look at transport from certain areas to the games.

Particularly with rises in petrol costs.

for example organise buses from suburbs to the games and home again for a few bucks a person. For example leaving selected Auckland league clubrooms. some random idea that popped into my head.

Also the parking needs to be cheaper for the organised area. and they need to help cars get out of the carpark instead of buggering off after all the cars in in. It's taken us 30 minutes to just get out of the carpark before because people walk all over the entrances and there is one queue so everybody turning left has to wait for all those turning right to squeeze out. We now start running for the exit with a couple of minutes left in the game. It could be solved quite easily.

yeah blame this forum. of course nobody else is to blame it is all this forum's fault. that is just plain untrue.

there are reasons why certain links aren't allowed on this forum.

if only people at certain other forums had decent courtesy then the fanbase of the warriors wouldn't be so divided.

sadly this is not the case and personality and forum politics come into play.

Sinbad, I think a major reason this forum wasn't represented was because nobody here seemed to know about the meeting in the first place. I personally don't know why certain links have been banned or changed, but it isn't my call. I for one would like to see this forum represented at these meetings, because the meetings are for all Warriors fans, and I can personally say that had I known about the meeting in advance, I would have volunteered to go on this site's behalf. Please don't let someone else's decision to ban certain links prevent you from keeping us all informed.

You actually posted a copy of the meeting notification on this site someyime ago. Everyone was aware of it. Obviously you forgot , but you are only person mate. There are others here as well.
If you look back on your threads you will see that it was discussed in length!

At least someone else could have offered to go. It was also posted on 2 other sites as well including another that you visit.

No excuse on the memebers here at all.

I will now say no more on the matter !!

Fair enough if you don't want to discuss it any more, but I feel I deserve the opportunity to respond.

Yes, I knew there was a meeting, but I didn't know when it was happening, (I unstickied that thread after the owner of the original post complained, and thought it was to be held at the last home game), and I certainly didn't know that anyone else was allowed to join. (The original list of members was already given. There was no hint that there was also an open invitation. Believe me, if I knew there was one, I would have leapt at it with both arms.)

I didn't know there was an invitation over at LU. If I'd seen it, I would have voiced my interest there.

Suffice to say, though, we're still interested. (Well, I am, anyway - I can't speak for all the users here), and I feel that the more fans that are represented at these meetings, the better it will be for both the fans and the management. So regardless of whether or not people should have known, etcetera, know now that I am still very interested, and I assume others are, too. What can we do to get on board with this, for the sake of all Warriors fans, both online and offline?

i was unaware that anyone could go to these meetings. From memory i thought only people part of the 'club' were allowed to go.

its a shame that there is so much division between these websites. why is everyone on power trips? its the freakin net ffs.

You`re totally correct about that, Tajhay... certain former members of this forum got together privately and formed their own "fan representative" committee for the first meeting. When someone else was nominated by current members of this forum to join the group, those same previous members who`ve attended both meetings were quite adamant about protecting their own circle at the time, which led to the big division and those members leaving this forum. No one from this forum took part in the 2nd meeting because no one from this forum was invited or welcomed by the group which attended both.
This forum is a better place now because although their may be a division between this forum and the other forums, at least there is no longer any backbiting and division WITHIN this forum without them here.

as far as I know there was nothing on LU about it at all.

this latest meeting from what I understand was arranged by the warriors themselves and not the private little club that did so much damage here and has divided the warriors fanbase. whether or not this forum was included on the e-mail I don't know but it appears it wasn't.

regardless of what has happened and what damage certain suppsoed fans have done to the warriors fanbase etc we can only hope that the warriors listen and make changes based on the fans that do go to these meetings.

P.S. the banner at the top of that other forum is a good laugh. it's things like that people here and other fans don't like.
