Internationals Faumuina gets red card from McClennan

Warriors star Sione Faumuina says he has been red-carded by Kiwis coach Brian McClennan.

Faumuina said his own sources had told him he was offside with the national league coach.

"To be quite honest, I don't think I will make another Kiwis side as long as Bluey is coach no matter how well I play," Faumuina told Sunday News.

"I have heard from selectors who were urging him to pick me for the Anzac test.

"But he said he didn't want me in the team, that I didn't deserve it.

"So he picked David Fa'alogo over me. I was pretty pissed off.

"A selector said, 'Bluey wants to talk.' But that was about four months ago and we still haven't cleared the air."

Faumuina believes his exclusion stems from his decision to skip last year's Tri-series.

Instead he opted for a short-term contract with Hull.

He said: "I think it was because of the Hull thing. I think he thinks I don't deserve a Kiwis jersey."

McClennan wouldn't comment. But Sunday News understands other reasons for not selecting Faumuina include his off-field record and questions about his character.

I hope Faumuina isn't snubbed every game by the selectors just because he signed a short-term contract with Hull last season, he should be picked on form and ability.

I agree. If his form warrants selection, then pick him. If it doesn't, then don't. Personalities should never get in the way of a balck and white jersey.

thats good cause he does'nt deserve to get in he's the worst player the warrios have sooner they get rid of him the better.
