Haha when u put it like that it must've been a pretty easy choice.
How long is he actually contracted to rugby for?
I was at the game and it was awesome- girls final was better tho.

If I was a decent enough Union player particularly backs or loose forward(most transitional players imo) I’d give Union a stint try to clock up a few 7s games hopefully trophies, then a few super rugby games maybe a title, hopefully clock up some AB games and best case scenario a RWC.
THEN around mid to late 20s switch to the NRL and try to do the same (better money new challenge) for around 5 years before heading off to France/Japan for a massive retirement pay check.
I know it’s all perfect world and right place and time type things but I’m not sure why more players don’t do it. There’s a few ABs that have a super rugby title and a couple of RWC now- what else do they really have left to achieve? Why not give NRL a go?

This kid seems like the ticket. Why wasnt he wrapped up in a contract by the warriors in his mid teens?

Read the recent stories. He was signed at 15 by the Warriors but opted out and had legal standing to do so.

he was only called into the squad this weekend because 6 players were out from last weekends tournament

if he is only injury cover he might be re-thinking his original decision

Amazing step. No different to RTS.

Did they win that game? Last I saw on the news they had just scraped through to the finals after beating South Africa in the final minute. Think it was two tries in that last minute to steal the W...

Was called in as injury cover because he is with the Chiefs and SR players aren't usually considered for 7s. If he didn't have a SR contract he'd be a walk up starter every tournament.
Still not convinced he would be ready for week in week out NRL in 2019 if he hadn't changed his mind though
