Hunts one man among many. If he got injured early, what are their options. Lockyer to fullback, Thurston to stand-off. Seems to me they've got that particular base well and truly covered.
For the Kiwi's to win, this game will have to match the intensity origin reached in the 80's and early 90's. We have to grind the aussie pack to a standstill if the skill levels of Marshall & Williams are to hold sway. If Lockyer & Johns get a platform laid for them by their big men, we are in big trouble. I'd say in this regard Mason , O'Meley , Simpson , Civonoceva would be the most likely to fatigue. Hindmarsh is basically the terminator - he just keeps going with a massive workrate & Kennedy is not far behind. Menzies loom as a threat off the bench - I was hoping the aussies wouldn't pick him to be honest.

Yeah but when the fullback gets shaken up the other team realises, and pepper him with bombs and run at him. If the Kiwis realise a weak link in the defence they will grab their chance and have him running all over the place for 80 minutes.
