Since 95 i have been a supporter of this club..and have gone through all the ups and downs at the Warriors..but i have had enough now.. i will no longer be supporting this club sadly which is ashame really because there is alot of Warriors i do like..however that is not enough anymore..My support however will now go to the Sharks or the Storm...most likely the Sharks as there are past Warriors now with the club..so i wish the Warriors all the best in the future and any success will be deserved..but this is it for me..

Unfortunately you are not the only one that has taken this stand. I know 2 blokes at work that have been through thick and thin with the club but have said enough is enough and no longer support the club.

its sad to cut ties but every time you watch them you just get so angry...so time to move on..

...i have to admit i don't really watch them, they are just to hard to watch but i keep up with whats going on with match reports, the news, Allan McLaughan on radio sport and so on.

I offen wonder if in fact the Warriors were the worest thing to happen to NZ league in a way. Until they came into the comp we had a domestic comp that drew on average around 4000 to 5000 to 8 matches a year....now look at the domestic seen, lucky if there is 500 people at most matches and our game team is generally the laughing stock of the evil empire.

i think they have done alot for the game in NZ..just look at all the rookies popping out in the NRL..most of them are kiwis..however there on-field performances well..where does one start..

Sorry this ended up being a bit longer than I thought...

I don't know why but the idea of ditching the Warriors and reading this thread has given me the the right royal poops.

How is this season and what they're doing now any worse than previous seasons (2000 and '04 in particular) Sure there's the -4 cap controversy and all and because of that I viewed as a write off because but come kick off I was till excited by the prospect of watching my team run around the park.

The love of league drew me to watch these games and my NZ heritage drew me to the warriors and I will bag them from tim to time but stick to them like glue and abandoning them after 12 seasons is just bloody mindedness in my opinion.

They've built up so much collateral over the good times like 01, 02 and 03 and not just in the winning seasons but things like the debut, the 42-0 win over the knights in 1999 and other smaller things like being at Brookvale and watching them get up with Lauititi in the bin or even games like the Knights this year where you're deep in enemy territory...

On top of that I used to be a Bears fan (though my heart always bled blue, green white and red until the strip change) back in the day from about 1994 through to the end because I used to go to school across the road from North Sydney Oval and watching them leave the comp was heart breaking. I don't want to lose sight that we have OUR team in the comp and jumping the ship isn't going to help. I don't want to see the Warriors booted and then have ptotest marches to get back something I lost the faith over which is what I feel most of those Souths fans marching were. Sure they're frustrating and they make me so angry sometimes but they're still my team however simplistic that is.

I digress but the point I'm trying to make is that surely you've seen way too much to make you write it all off now and if you can do so well all the best at the Sharks but don't come back when the Warriors become a force again. We're in a position that many Norths, Wests, Balmain and Steelers fans would kill for, our own team in the NRL. If we start taking that for granted and losing the faith completely it'll just give them fodder to say get rid of the bums even they're fans don't like them.

Sorry had a lot to get off my chest...I'll have a lie down now

You have a very good point rayroxon..but thats the way i feel sadly..like i said any success is deserved but i won't be jumping on that bandwagon if it comes along..i'll be happy for the club but thats it.

I can't blame people for wanting to walk away from the club....god there a hard watch.
I'll be sticking by my club though, through thick and thin i'll be a Warriors fan!!

Fair enough, if that's how you feel then that's how you feel. Just don't come back when they start winning again. You're either with them or you're not regardless of where they are on the points table or how much their thoughtless play angers you.

I don't see any point in telling him not to come back.

Far as i'm concerned he'll welcomed back if he comes back.

they do have a point...because if i come back because they are winning "im just a bandwagon supporter"..and are only supporting the club because they are winning..i haven't been there when they are going through hard times..which is a good point..like i said i wish them best of luck..and i do know what im giving up..

They'll start winning again soon dude.....just hold on. Tough it out with the rest of us.

Hell, in a few season you'll have a new NZ club to support if you want when the Orcas come into the comp....so just don't jump ship to soon.

The Warriors lost my support earlier this year after the salary cap fiasco..its not so much the players and the results that bugged me but the administrators of the club. I refuse to go to Ericsson stadium to watch them now. But I'm a league follower and I like to debate and discuss how the individual players and team perform or otherwise. In that sense I still have an interest in the Warriors.
