When I was watching the Dunedin game a few weeks back, I noticed that the stream, this website, and my browser in general was behaving extraordinarily slow. After closing the nzwarriors.com webpage, everything seemed to be quite normal again. This was occurring last season too, but my care factor was low at the time, so I didn't bother raising it.
Now I suspect, but cannot be certain, that the "enhanced chat box" is cause of this. During this "slow" period I checked my network bandwidth monitor and that looked okay, but my browser console was spewing what looked like a obscene and constant amount of URL requests to the "chat box".
So, is there an issue here that could be addressed? Perhaps the ability to close the chat box on the https://www.nzwarriors.com/forums/ page?
FYI, my speed test is 9.66mbps down and 0.85mbps up.
