Tfb the whole team would be first framers for at least someone in the NRL. Don't think the difference between NRL and ESL was the problem really. The players don't usually drop so much simple ball and could usually deal with someone like Godinet, they were performing below themselves due to a mixture of heat and rustiness after travelling a huge distance and not playing a warm up.

England will pay a special tribute to the most heroic performance in the history of international Rugby League when they play Australia in the 2014 Four Nations in Melbourne on Sunday.
To mark the centenary of the historic third Test of the 1914 Lions tour, a match that became known as the Rorke’s Drift Test, England will wear commemorative jersey based on those worn by the Northern Union at the Sydney Cricket Ground on July 4, 1914.
The England jersey is a red and white hooped design and features on its front the names of the Northern Union heroes who defied overwhelming odds to win the game and secure the Ashes.
With just nine fit men on the field at times during a match played five days after the second Test, England triumphed 14-6 with a performance which Australian journalists compared to the rearguard action staged by the British military against a Zulu army in South Africa in 1879.
England captain Sean O’Loughlin said: “It’s always an honour and a privilege to represent your country but to do so against Australia in a jersey which commemorates such an important event in the sport’s history is going to be even more special.
“All the players and staff are acutely aware of the fantastic tradition of sporting feats between England and Australia and this jersey will bring 100 years of rivalry out of the history books and on to the pitch.
“None of us will need extra incentive on Sunday but the chance to pull on the Rorke’s Drift jersey is one the whole squad is longing to grab with both hands.”

I watched the match between Aus and NZ last night and it's funny but I know after the Samoa match exactly where they'll attack us, around the ruck and peppering tomkins with pressured bombs.
Oddly our ruck defence shouldn't be as bad as it was against Samoa, but I'm still not convinced our coach has the tactical nous to do the job.
Here's hoping though. If by a miracle the Aussies are knocked out, even from this distance the fallout should be fun to watch. I suspect they'll have an overseas quota and a sacked coach before I can say "God save the queen"
Also I'd expect every Aussie at the final to be cheering for you guys.
All that said... it's still a very slim hope.

England coach Steve McNamara has named an unchanged side for Sunday’s Four Nations match against Australia at Melburne’s AAMI Park (kick off 4.00pm local).
England defeated Samoa 32-26 in the tournament’s opening match at Suncorp Stadium, Brisbane last Saturday and victory over Australia, who lost to New Zealand in the Brisbane double-header by 30-12, will see England progress through to the Four Nations final in Wellington, New Zealand on Saturday November 15.
England’s last victory against Australia was the 1995 World Cup opener at Wembley Stadium, when the hosts won by 20-16. Great Britain managed a win over the Kangaroos in 2006 in Sydney (23-12). England captain Sean O’Loughlin, who missed the opening game last week with a problem with his quadriceps, is the only member of the 24-man squad to have ever tasted success against Australia with Great Britain in the 2004 and 2006 Tri-Nations tournaments.
“We have named the same 17 as last week,” said England coach McNamara.
“A few of our blokes haven’t been able to train fully during the early part of the week.
“Even though we have named the same side, there could be a change or two at the back end of the week.
“Those that were unable to train are making decent progress. Sean O’Loughlin is definitely improving and we will continue to monitor him throughout this week.
“It is really difficult to name a team earlier in the week. Firmer decision will be made towards the weekend, when we arrive in Melbourne.
“It was a hard-fought win for us against Samoa. There is room for improvement within our game. We had to overcome a very talented and tenacious team with limited preparation in extreme heat.
“I was pleased with the way we dug in and found a way to win in extreme circumstances. We will have to show that same resolve this week.”
The match will be broadcast live on BBC Two with the programme starting at 4.30am (GMT).

If it is Sutton then you have to ask where is the RFL and NZRL's spine ?

Yep they changed both refs as soon as Aussie lost. Pre tournament it was announced in the opposite order.
