General EARLY GUILTY PLEA ON WIKI'S HIGH TACKLE CHARGE

Vodafone Warriors vice-captain Ruben Wiki will miss Saturday night's NRL clash against Cronulla after entering an early guilty plea on a high tackle charge.
The 33-year-old landed a grade three careless high tackle charge after a 73rd-minute hit on Penrith prop Joel Clinton last Saturday night.
The charge carried a total of 196 points if an early guilty plea was taken, or 262 points - and a two match ban - if the charge was fought and lost.
The Vodafone Warriors notified the NRL this morning (Tuesday) that they would not contest the charge. That leaves Wiki free to return for the home match against North Queensland on August 12.

On Suspensions the Today Show on Prime made a good point About FuiFui
MoiMoi. FuiFui is likly to return to action before the victum of the high tackle. Later the sport reader suggested the suspension should begin when the victum is back on the paddock.

Fui doesn't have the glamourest record himself, and to be honst I like him as a player but with all this suspension and things, tis kinda ruining his time on the field

Definitely the right thing to do. He was never going to contest the charge and win.

I disagree with that completely. One rule for all, I say. Tackling a player who is 'fragile' could mean a longer suspension than the same tackle on a 'harder' man. That doesn't sit right with me.

All that aside, though - what injury did Kite sustain? The tackle looked nothing short of hideous! :shock:

Wiki deserved what he got so i'm not contesting that but Joel Clinton has gone down in my books. The tackle was a chin-slide up hit, it did not hit him sqaure on the face like he made out, i do not respect people who stay down when there not hurt, i can never no for sure but logical when you see a player grin after he gets a penalty for staying down & jumping up when it gets awarded you assume hes milked it, thats when i respect the older players & there silent code of honour, thats what i respect, Joel i hope Wiki bashes ya next time we play your team.
