This is our worst signing ever
There is no upside to signing him
He is not a depth player at all as he isn’t that good
He isn’t fit to step foot on any nrl stadium field

Our team is now a laughing stock if it wasn’t already
I used to watch the nrl pundit shows every week like bloke in bar and last year sterlos wrap
I couldn’t stand to watch those shows or nrl 360 now
Braith Anasta “ so gentlemen who will win this week out of the west tigers and the warriors “
Paul Kent “absolutely the tigers, the warriors are putting in a typical performance of inconsistency this year”

I mean can we change our minds and send him back
I know Wayne Bennett is recruiting him next year but some of the dolphins other recruits are also stupid Eg dolphins recruited Isaako of all people
We are going to lose all games from here on in I accept that but can we at least retain our human pride and human dignity by not playing Dunamis?
But he will have a blinder this weekend and most on this thread will be trying to figure out how we keep him 😆

Far out take it easy. An experienced workhorse on minimum wage for 6 months is not even close to our worst signing ever.

Agreed

I can’t believe the optimism bias of most fans on this website
1) nuclear war is imminent
Warriors fans “ this is a good thing as it will make us treasure our loved ones in the months to come”
2) rugby league is now banned and we all have to be rugby union fans
“At least the all blacks win”
3) we are signing dunamis lui
“ he is an old stager and will be able to mentor bunty afoa and Aaron pene our other props who will absolutely be eager to ask questions and listen to someone who makes 50 metres on a good day at the office.”

To be clear Jamayne Tounua-Brown would be a better signing

Lui isn't replacing Lodge the player, just filling a hole in the squad. At best he will be an injury back up off the bench. He's a defensive prop, doesn't make metres.

He's a sign we lack experience in our squad, and there is no one out there with a for sale sign that ticks our boxes, or wants to join us (fair enough, that's hard to find regardless of our current state).

With Curran, Egan and Sironen due back in the next week or so, that will free up Harris to move into prop. Addin Fonua-Blake out will fuck us. I would back Jazz at 10 before playing Lui.
Nah sorry he's not first grade quality anymore.

What's the point of the signing? We are definitely not winning games with him in the side. So in that case, just give the minutes to the Kepus. Same result but just gives our guys some experience.

All Lui is doing is acting as roadblock to develop some of our players, because we all know they are getting shafted in Redcliffe and getting bugger all development there.

If anything they jumped the gun in signing him too. They shouldve waiting until 30 June to see if someone better became available. But now they've committed a top 30 spot to him for the whole rest of the year.

Extremely poor recruiting imo.

Wrighty why don’t you let the guy play a couple of games before you right him off.

Against the grain on this thread but I quite liked him at the Raiders and was surprised he didn't get picked up when he left.

As for him mentoring the younger guys, I might of missed something but I thought that was the job of the coaches

Dunamis has been awful from what I've watched of Redcliffe. Like actually terrible. Same goes for Lachlan Timm who was our the extended squad for a bit. Their forward pack are all plodders who let in far too many tries.

Honestly I'd just bite the bullet and give the Kepu boys minutes off the bench. Take the L's and get them ready for next year. This season is a wrap anyway.
From a Fox article just posted…

Lachlan Timm has been standout for the Dolphins.

At 25-years old, Timm has a fair bit of footy under his belt. He progressed through the Storm system before making the move from the Sunshine Coast Falcons to the Dragons in 2019 and finished that season as the competition’s leader in tackles made and second in running metres.

This season, the 186 cm, 111kg prop is averaging 145 metres per game and boasts a 96.4 per cent tackle efficiency. Timm was again outstanding on the weekend, punching out 80 minutes and finishing with 197 running metres, nine tackle busts and 35 tackles with zero misses.

His stats have been good last 3 games. Still empty stats in my opinion as he's a dinosaur in terms of what you're looking for out of a prop. Not quick on his feet at all, just a toiler that doesn't really create fast PTB or have any passing ability.

He was very average to start the year and his game against Wynnum Manly is probably the worst game I've seen from a Redcliffe forward this year. Was getting burnt every defensive play.
