Have heard hes more of a ‘new money’ rather than ‘old money’ as to why the elite don’t like him.I can see what you mean. But.
What I meant by saying that he's not of the elite is that he's not of the elite who are pulling all the strings behind the scenes. I should have been clearer.
I think that Jacinda is also not one of them, but unfortunately she's had to toady up to Winston to gain power, so.....
I understand and agree with all the reasons you have to criticise Trump. But I said that I believe he has 2 tasks. One to shake things up. Be uncontrollable. The other is to be all those things you've outlined, and in spades, in order that more and more people can finally get it, and say Never Again! I think he'll probably get re-elected, as he's not yet succeeded. The likely alternative (Biden) is more small-scale change anyway, making it all too obvious that more of his 'laying it on with a trowel' kind of lesson-giving is needed.
Pretty much all of the candidates have some pretty shady skeletons in the closet and Trump was seen as a vote against the status quo and a figurative ‘bull in a china shop’ to shake things up a bit.
