If he runs again at 75 it will be interesting to see his mental state compared to the current president.
They are also only allowed two terms. Usually that is back to back. Not sure what happens when the candidate fails to get re-elected and then comes back. Never seen that happen before as most have moved on to other things by then. You would expect the real estate tycoon to be more likely to move on compared to life time politicians.
Trump will always have the edge on arrogance and big headedness, its just the way he is.
He is a big mouth blowhard however he is way behind Biden in terms of dementia or cognitive decline .As its a regressive disease he'll never catch up with Biden now who in a years time wouldnt surprise me if he's permanently in an adult nappy.
There is sort of an historical precedent though for a comeback though.
In the 1820's Andrew Jackson was running for President .He was an " outsider" but popular with the people and won the popular vote and had most electoral votes but the insiders cconcocted some sort of deal when they conveniently reinterpreted the rules and combined the second placed fellas results with the thirds and that was enough to defeat Jackson and in came John Quincy Adam's.
He was an insider ( the son of the second ever President, John Adams) favoured by the political establishment, society elites and big business. The people didn't like him though as he was aloof and pompous and did the establishments and big businesses bidding.
Andrew Jackson who maintained the support of the people throughout came back and beat him (again ) in a landslide 4 years later and was President for the next 8 years.
Jackson ,I think,is the only candidate who has stood for President ,lost and then came back and won in the Presidential Elections...
Yanks dont like " losers".
Time will tell whether history repeats itself this way....possible but me thinks not.
