That dude is the best league writer in the country. Adds starch to that TVNZ Warriors site, which is actually quite good (especially seeing as they're the only ones who don't show the Warriors or League on their network).

I agree. I feel Budge feels he is obligated to cheerlead the Warriors because if he doesn't then the players and coaches might not talk to him. Personally I expected him to come out with a harder line to why we aren't performing and his article basically comes off as a "everything is fine" type article rather than something objective. A writer in Sydney would have really asked what is wrong, if there is problems with positions, fitness, technique, training schedules, off-field media hampering performances, backrow being too ineffectual, rusty pre-season?

i like reading budgeys stuff, i agree with skinner tho, Coffey is without equal at the moment.

I,ll get slapped down for this but my seconed fav kiwi league/sports writer is Richard Becht.
