Just thought that I'd give this programme a plug on here coz I think that it's GOLD!!!

Thursdays from 8.30pm to 9.30pm on Maori telvision. Great show hosted by, from the Warriors himself, Wairangi Koopu, league's very own Tawera Nikau and one of the best Kiwi fullbacks, IMO, Richie Barnett along with Jenny May Coffin ex. Silverfern, Matua Parkinson you all know who he is, Lisa Hurunui Nz female Surf Champ and Ossie (can't remeber his last name) Matua's cousin and another union but he's still in Japan at the mo.

It's a great show Wairangi even has his own segment called "Wai's Guys "and Richie does to his is called "I Spy" and so does Tawera interviewing former NZ Champs or somwthing like that and there is a chance to name his segment at the moment.

And last but certainly not least. Well I shouldn't really tell you guys coz then I'll have less chances of winning it but I'd rather a league person win it then someone who just changed the channel and knew the answer.

They have a competition going where you can win a trip to the first home Tri-Nations match this year, you and a friend (I think), with Tawera Nikau and you get a corporate box for the game . For more details watch Code or go to Maori Television website coz I can't be bothered typing anymore.

Mean Code Mean

Oh PS: The programme is spoken in english just in case you were wondering.

I watched that too - Wai's segment is really good. He interviewed Daniel Kereopa the surfer tonight. They should have more of him & less of the talking on the couches :)
That guy Ossie is Glen Osbourne ex All Black.

Hehe, cheers. I was wondering exactly that.

Actually, what I would personally prefer, (I'm a first generation European New Zealander, by the way), would be for the programme to be in Te Reo with English subtitles. I'd love to hear Nikau and Koopu speaking in their native tongue - it has so much power! But then, beggars can't be choosers, lol! :D

Some of it is in Maori and you do hear alot of Maori expressions on it as well. Wairangi being fluant in Maori does say the first bits of his segments in Maori usually.
