Club or country ?

I vote Country , the kiwis were my team before the Warriors were a twinkle in the eye

I've left the country option open and not restricted it to Warriors or NZ to make it an international versus club poll

The Kiwis of course!! Always the underdog while I was a kid and now I've grown the're the DEFENDING WORLD CHAMPIONS soon to be back to back World Champs.

I went with Country too.

There are a lot of arguments out there that say the Warriors are a New Zealand team. But for the most part I still consider them to be Aucklanders with people from here and there. If there was a Canterbury team or even just a South Island based team in the Nrl I could see myself eventually supporting them instead of the Warriors.

I guess what I'm trying to say is that I connect more to our National team. I like the idea of New Zealanders banding together because of their roots and not being a restricted by where they live. I'd love our national team so much more if the eligibility rules were sorted out though.

Since this poll could refer to any sport, when it comes to union I think it strange that I support the Crusaders more than the All Blacks...

Club. Supporting the Warriors is a full-time job, while the Kiwis is just a summer job.

I love the Kiwis to succeed but they only play a handful of games a year, so its difficult to maintain being diehard for the months and months when they aren't playing.
When the Warriors aren't playing, I am focused on the next season.

If there were 16 very even countries in global rugby league then Kiwis without a second thought. But there are not, there are 3. Watching the Kiwis is awesome, in large part, due to the infrequency of games.

For the Warriors to win a Premiership they have to achieve something incredible. For one of the top three to win a World Cup they need a run of form that is not necessarily the true indication of which team is best in the world.

The Warriors have never won a premiership. Watching the Warriors conquer their Everest is hands down the sporting achievement I want to view the most. If only they played with the guts and passion of the Kiwis...

The team I've supported since I was a small child has won a grand final once in my lifetime, dragons 2010. I got more pleasure from that than I did the kiwis winning the 4 nations the same year or the world cup in 2008.
Since 1995 the dragons have been a distant second to the warriors, so the warriors winning a grand final would go down as a pretty special time for me.

Hmmm hard one... I would say the Kiwis because no team tugs at me emotionally, as the Kiwi team does, but then when people ask me whether I would rather the Kiwis win a world cup or the Warriors win an NRL premiership its no contest for me WARRIORS NRL PREMIERS every time.

Tonga has never really featured in terms of International League. Only seen them maybe 3 times play in RLWC's. Never really had too many conflicts of interest. Always been a fan of the Kiwis. Dont forget that Tonga only started playing Internationals in 1986...

I'll be honest, I found out the World Cup result in the paper the next morning. I thought it was a joke, or a 'what if' piece. I seriously thought that the game was gonna be on Sunday Night. Nothing on the front page, turned to the back to check the sports - bam. That haunts me to this day... However through sheer viewings I've created a memory where I had watched it live .

So I never had that feeling of winning it, more that we had won it.

Warriors are a team I never expect much from. But winning the GF would be incredible.
