Yes, when he had a segment with his wife & ??
With Tim Wilson and Kate Hawkesby.

Talked about King Curtis, lunch with Ashley, monopoly with Goldsmith and Robertson, level 3 and cranes.

Must me another day maybe?

Now we have life without parole do you think the guy who gunned down the young cop in Auckland will get the same?
No one knows that is for sure, consistency is not a hallmark of the Judiciary.
Judges in NZ are god like they have a ridiculous amount of power, you cannot even fire one.

Gut reaction says Dixpats guess at seventeen years non parole is a pretty good guess.

Although I would think it will be the upper end of a heavy sentence so maybe 22-30 years because he wounded another cop....so factor that in as an attempted murder.

We have had multiple terrorism attacks on our soil, going back as far as the bombing of the Huntly rail bridge in the nineteen fifties....although no one has ever been convicted of terrorism.

The bench mark for terrorism causing death, is now set at you die in NZ prison.

So I imagine if there is another terror conviction, and even if it is one death, that person will get life without parole.

Largely a result of how we respond to attacks on our sovereign soil by politically motivated killers.

Because of this judge, all judges in future will see their role as being a defender of the flag and the coat of arms of the crown against all terrorists.

Check the end of Mrs Hosking's show, in the segment where she chats to Mike and they have comic banter and preview his shitshow. Fuck I hate that guy, it's good theater though.
When is her show? I do find it amusing that people who don't like him or her still listen to them 🥴

Hers is on before his, then there's two old boomer clowns doing a double act, then Heather and her husband come on and talk about what the Hoskings said that morning and half of it is about them. I know the whole newstalk zb schedule since lockdown, there's about 6 people at the station and they're all married and probably cousins, classic kiwi radio

Sorry, I had a little chuckle when I read the headline.

Had hoped it was 'For sure, go ahead, we can have a judicial review. Just make sure you turn up at 11.00am to the call' followed by 'His hour he is allowed out of his cell a day, make sure its from 12.30 to 1.30 ;) '

The thing that annoyed me most about this event was it gave New Zealand a bad name all over the world, yet the person who did it was an Australian. Now he is saying we are giving him no human rights etc and his conditions are against human rights etc. He comes to our country and does this, Gives us a bad wrap around the world and he expects good conditions. My view is he should be left in a cell with no light, no food or water and left to die and rot. The tax payers should not be forced to pay to keep him alive. To me Australians are usually just pricks and deserve no love from us. I never buy Australian made products. Peanut butter etc - If I cannot find a NZ peanut butter in the store I will buy Chinese or just not buy it if the only option was Australian etc I trust China more than I trust Australia !

There is more about this POS in the US press this week.

They refer to the similar shootings like El Paso but mention Christchurch, and this particular POS manifesto called Replacement Strategy.

Here is an article from the Guardian about it a couple of years ago

but also that right wing creep on Fox News Tucker Carlson has been at it again this week

Take it from me he will be experiencing extreme stress in Maxi solitary.

He is not entitled to any privileges. He cannot even get a drink of water without someone giving it to him.

If he plays up no one will talk to him conversationally for weeks on end, either total silence or simple directives from one person who speaks to him and one person only. The Alpha officer in the group.

He will be going out of his mind for a lack of stimulation and connection with other human beings.

The rooms are stark concrete cells with nothing to look at, not even interesting tiles you can count and give nick names.

Not many men can stand that type of deprivation for very long, and this guy has to do it for potentially fifty years or more.

I cannot think of anything worse than being kept alive in that environment, I would starve myself.

I agree with all you say but it’s the cost of achieving this for him that gets me.

An ugly side effect of War unfortunately.

How I see it is....It is costing us less to get retribution against this terrorist than it cost to get Bin Ladden.

This situation is true punishment.

Every other prisoner in this country is either meant to be in some kind of reform or containment with the ability to earn their way to privileges

This guys starting position and end position is in the harshest containment prison offers....as such it is life long punishment not redemption.

I think its worth it.
