Change the suspenion rules for internationals like if you a suspended in the NRL it should only count for NRL games and relax the rules on fights and high shots cause its a test match and it would lift the intensity of the match players would 'nt have worry too much about suspenions and penaltys.

so you are saying that in a test match you woudl be alright with the aussie forwards smashing stacey jones, benji marshall and other players with illegal shots and its alright and that they should not get punished? are you sure you are interested in league or fighting?

want the game to lift in intensity just relax the penaltys abit its a test its supposed to hard and they surpposed to be playing the toughest sport around it does'nt look like it at the moment.

I don't think they should be a bit more lax on illegal tactics or moves in an international match, but I agree that suspensions in the NRL should not count towards international matches. NRL is club, International is country, they do not have a direct relationship so therefore a suspension in the NRL should not run in to an international career.

I agree with that entirely, but consideration of Tajhay's point has to be done, also. I agree that a club suspension should not prevent a player from playing an international match, but what is to stop a player breaking the laws of the game in the international match if there is no punishment? And if the punishment is international suspension, that most likely won't dissuade many players due to the general lack of international matches each year. (Alternatively, it might dissuade them - who knows.)

thats pretty silly. to lift intensity all u have to do is get it thru to the players that they are playing for pride and honour.

the rules are pretty much the same for state of origin but the intensity is there.

they already are lenient in test matches, look at nigel vagana only getting 1 week for nearly killing another player, (his high shot in last years tri nations on the GB halfback, the GB player was put on life support as both his cheekbones and nose socket were crushed by a vagana arm.) he would've got at least 8-10 weeks in the NRL.
