Huddersfield caused a massive upset by beating Leeds on Sunday to clinch a trip to the club's first Challenge Cup final in 44 years.
The Giants' stunning 30-12 semi-final victory at Odsal Stadium earned them a showdown with title favourites - and English Super League leaders - St Helens at Twickenham on August 26.
Huddersfield's last appearance in the final ended in a 6-12 loss to Wakefield Trinity at Wembley in 1962 but the Giants' previous trip to the decider produced a 15-10 win in 1953 - against St Helens, as it happened.
On Sunday, the Giants and the Rhinos were level 12-12 at halftime but Huddersfield engineered a shut-out in the second half by scoring 18 unanswered points.
Former Brisbane centre Michael De Vere supplied 14 points from a try and five goals.
The success is especially sweet for Kiwi Robbie Paul who joined the Giants this year after the Bradford Bulls ended his long career at Odsal Stadium. Now he finds himself on his way to his sixth Challenge Cup final.
Match details:
At Odsal Stadium, Bradford:
HUDDERSFIELD GIANTS 30 (Stuart Donlan 2, Chris Nero 2, Michael De Vere tries; Michael De Vere 5 goals).
LEEDS RHINOS 12 (Willie Poching, Scott Donald tries; Kevin Sinfield 2 goals).
Halftime: 12-12.
Crowd: 12,574.
Who do you reckon will win the final, St Helens or Huddersfield?
