General Captain Warrior Come Forward

With 2006 destined to go down as another (lump in my throat) rebuilding year, it begs a question of who's hands the future of the club lies in.

Pricey has brought a new kind of leadership to the club - one greater than we have ever experienced under Monty or Stace (who god bless him was never meant to be a captain).

So with Pricey's retirement imminent afer his career rounding stint in Auckland who is left to carry on? Wiki's career will come to an end around the same time. So who will be that long term leader ready and willing to step up. The Warriors need to be sure not to revert back to stop gap measures (John Simon being a prime example) but who is there?

I had always hoped Webby would one day lead the side from the back but that seems unlikely given the current situation at hand.

Wairangi or Louis?

Or is someone yet to step up and show us their stuff?

You mean me?!?! Um id love to be captain of the mighty warriors wont happen though lol. Yeah well i think wairangi koopu could make qiute a good leader aye!

Yeah sorry was referring more to the collective Warrior Faithful but I'm sure you'd be a fine candidate yourself.

Well Wiki is carrying on a year after Price and even further (and Price could go further) but otherwise I would say Koopu, the boys have a lot of respect for him and I think he would be a great captain.

I think Wiki carrying on as captain and grooming say a Wairangi Koopu would be good. I think Wairangi has the leadership skills to be a captain. Louis is good but sometimes theres too many mistakes from him on the field.

Anderson in 4-5 years, but before then Koopu would have to be first in line behind Price and Wiki.

price and wiki will both add a year to their contracts i believe so we must start grooming someone now our contenders at the moment will all be at the end of their careers so new blood, shame webby just might have been the man.

Wiki's already added a year onto his original three-year contract, not sure about Price though, many people are tipping him to eventually become a part of the Warriors management.
