The comments by the CEO last week around accountability suggest to me he was preparing the ground for either SK or Smith or even both to go. My money would be on SK to go next year, Smiths record and his likely ability to articulate his own worth will mean he probably stays
Some of Robinson’s quotes were clearly aimed at Kearney.

Treating everyone equal - with Kearney being famous for favourites...

Unless you are calling Brian Smiths character into question then the obvious answer is the Warriors.

I have seen him quite a few times at Warriors home games sitting in the upper west stand by himself taking notes...
He is obviously taking notes for the club, but for who at the club was what I meant.
If it is SK then either he isn't listening or Brian Smith is losing his touch. My guess, and it is just a guess, he is a sounding board for the owners. If it were my money I wouldn't be listening too much to SK and they sure need all the advice they can get right now. Just saying like.

BTW...after a long absence I have been talking with a few Carlaw Park dinosaurs. They all agree with me. I don't know where the views on here come from, maybe a new breed?

I have posted this before, but this "aloof" thing has always been his gig.

I heard way back in 1995 he would hardly speak to anybody in the team, like he was really up himself. That story came from in the dressing room though. The story I heard from management was that he was so professional he couldn't be bothered with players who were not.

I heard from another player who knew him in junior days in Wellington. He said he was very deep and serious, no drinking, no misbehaving and not really into socialising much.

There is no doubt about the guys professionalism, I just wonder whether deep down he is a bit of an introvert who covers it with aloofness and sticking to people he is comfortable with.

However, that is all guess work. When I have met him around the club he has been an absolute gentleman.

That doesn't win games though.

Losing Corvo is one thing but if they were to let Smith or even O Sullivan go with their proven track records go i think that would be concerning. He may not have won a premiership but has a real knowledge for the game.
Losing Corvo is huge, Its sounds like the player power has come home too roost.. If they cant handle the heat in the kitchen get out... Corvo didn`t get 2 teams to consecutive grand finals by being nice and letting them train half arsed.
This club will not progress if they treat players with kiddie gloves and wrapped in cotton wool, If they want to be professional footballers ... harden up you will reap the rewards

Do we know that was the reason?

I believe it was part of the reason, I heard it was the same reason Daniel Anderson left back in the day, Take from that what you will
