benefit of the doubt goes to manly right? up on the big screen flashes try ..benefit of the doubt ....

now webb scores untouched running at full pace against a 12 man manly defensive line , bell pushes price pretending that he could have possible have stopped webb ....they go up stairs ....and low and behold ...no try penalty to manly ????gee what a shock ....

wheres our benefit ..... thats right . we never get it ........end of story

I don't think there should be benfit of the doubt when you can see the whole thing right there, no camera angles were obstructed, he either did or didn't do a double movement.

I got to agree... watching the game it seemed quite obvious that the Warriors should have been equal with Manly @ 20-20 with plenty of time left to see who wanted it badly enough.

Webb's was a certain try. No ifs, no buts, no half measures, straight out try. Steve Price was in a position to receive a pass, Steve Bell made a poor decision as to who the pass was going to. Thats the end of it. Try time.

You can't blame the ref for those 2 decisions, as he didn't make them, he just reffered them upstairs.

As for the 'benefit of the doubt' on the Bell try, I think that was because he couldn't tell if the ball hit the ground or not.

In my opinion both Bell & Webb's try should have counted.

The better team won - BUT you got incredibly lucky on a number of woeful decisions. There was no flow in that game, it became a snorefest with Smith refereeing it, and it was blatantly obvious Webb's try was indeed a try to all and sundry.

Coach Ivan Cleary made comment about confusing obstruction calls, some that were "petty". Benefit of doubt was not given to the attacking side.

I meant the CONSTANT calls against us, the recent major one's being staceys 3, v.s newcastle rd 24 & the 4 against the roosters rd 22. Then we have webby's today. I don't won't these calls to continue, i don't think we've EVER had a benifit of doubte try or even a 50-50 video ref try. Todays was DIABOLICAL!!!!

Mate Im fully sick of these Nrl refs just shafting the warriors. It has been going on since 95 and its not going to stop anytime soon. Something needs to be done. Some of those calls made me sick to my stomach.
