TEENAGE BROTHERS HEAD TOWARDS AN NRL DREAM
October 10 2017
Rockhampton's Tom and Ben Farr have been signed by the Penrith Panthers NRL club.
Both boys have signed with the Panthers, despite still being at school at the Cathedral College. 17-year-old Tom heads off at the end of the year, but 16-year-old Ben will wait until he's finished school at the end of 2018.
They played their first football with the Thomson Tigers in Longreach. Ben says that "toughened" them up. Tom says it doesn't matter where you come from, you can get there if you work hard.

Former Australian international, Queensland Maroon, and Brisbane Broncos professional rugby league footballer, Darren Lockyer.
Do have any big plans for 2022, on or off the field?
Play as much Hostplus Cup games as I can and earn an NRL contract.
Do you have any hidden talents outside of footy?
I can ride a Ripstick skateboard.
What’s your favourite movie?
The Martin Scorsese’s directed Wall of Wall Street.
What other sport or activity do you like to do for fun?
Playing cricket with my mates.
Who is your favourite athlete/sports team?
Wynnum Manly Seagulls halfback and five-eighth Michael Dobson.
Where is your family from?
From the Beef Capital of Australia, Rockhampton.
Something interesting about you that not many people would know?
I’m originally from Longreach, near the centre of Queensland.
Who are your biggest supporters of your footy career? What do they mean to you?
Nana and Poppy, they follow literally everything I do, and they mean everything to me.

2022 footy season crazy prediction?
Gold Coast Titans finish Top 4 in the NRL.
What do you want from your career after football?
To look back on my career and be proud of what I’ve done.
