I get the logic behind putting Locke in the Vulcans, but man I hope it's only a tune up game. Maybe it'll serve as a boot up the arse too? Last time he was dropped down to Vulcans level he came out firing! (different circumstances this time, but one can hope)

I agree with putting Locke there for one game, assuming it is just one game. He's had a string of injuries and needs to get his mojo back. While he's obviously our number one fullback he isn't yet a seasoned professional that one would chuck back into the team no matter what.

Love to have Locke back. Got to have faith the staff know what they are doing. He has pulled out of a lot of games. Though i thought for sure the two week rest would be enough. Good news to see Poching return. Gavet and Poching were a mean combo last season, i'd be happy with just Poching in the squad. God i hope he peforms well. We need to blood some new props. Just to continue our strong depth into the future.

It was a sternum injury no? Those are probably one of the more difficult injuries due to breathing etc. Vulcans for a game is probably good

They went down 32-18.

On a brighter note, Locke played 80 minutes, scored a try and kicked 3 from 3. I think the other tries were scored by Willy Peace and Pita Godinet.

So next week, I hope to see Locke return to first grade with Godinet also taking a bench spot. Forget this 4 forward bench crap.
