Over the past year that I've been on this forum I always find most infuriting (more so than the Warriors) are several fans on here (and I won't name names). I'm not saying they are not entitled to their own opinions (they are of course), but what I am tired of hearing every single time I'm on here you've got people acting like football brain know it alls.

Yes it's very easy to be able to sit at your computer, read the newspapaer and watch the game on tv and start critisting every little thing the players do wrong.
Eg: the way Fien's got bad options...etc....
On and on this sort of thing drags on.

I read earlier in this forum, some one was saying why this place was suddenly so quite. I thought about that, then I read through all the topics being discussed and I realised why I was reading more threads then positing was because there was nothing to talk about. It was all the same old thing! Eg:
"Who should/shouldn't be dropped", "Which player has to play halfback"...and the rest of it.

Its easy to be critical, it's easy to say you want 'so and so' out or playing in particular spot' or as I've found the most common words:
"If it was me..."

You guys are neither right or wrong but some of you have forgoten to draw the line between reality and professional sports. You aren't in the position to make the changes, yes you are in a position to state what you like or don't like but don't do it so over the top. It is appauling to have fellow fans doing this, doing this one-eyed narrow minded train of thought.

"What about the realist fans?" you might ask. A realist fan accepts when you are beaten and accepts things as it is because it is far beyond their own control.

So the question remains:

Are you a diehard that wants absolute perfection?

Are you a diehard fan that accepts the reality of professional sport?

We can't all cheerlead needlessly.

Call a spade a spade. If it's broke, it needs fixing.

On 0 points after round 6 suggests it broke, and its broke badly. Missing 2 finals series in a row from a one COUNTRY-team suggests there's issues.

Surely you haven't been happy with the constant tight losses, or player's leaving the club early, or a lack of attack from a previously flambouyant club, or constant off field crises including systematic rorting of the salary cap?

It'd be a pretty lame place if we all came in here and go, "Damn, we lost by 4 points, I'm happy, you're happy, lets keep losing - yay for us."

Bit harsh there my friend. What would you prefer us say,...
"hard luck chaps, maybe next week huh"
The club has been through heaps of hard times since 1995, I was there as a paying customer. So have many others here.
At least we havent' deserted the team/club altogether.

SO now its
"Oh the warriors have missed finals footy again boo hoo!" is that what this world has really come to? You win some you lose some and that's the reality of it. WHen they don't make the top 8 that's just bloody tough luck for everyone. You ain't good enough so that's all fair dinkim.

I never said you had to be happy for them to keep losing, and yeh it would be weird. But, everytime I come in here on the main page what's the first thing I see? Negative topics! It's off putting. And it's heart wrehcning to see it. But then of course you wouldn't understand that now would you?

They've lost a few too many good players yes that's annoying but it's also apart of life. Us as fans cannont change that simple fact even if we'd desperately like to. My point is, people try to hard in wanting to turn back time and don't ever realise that won't ever happen. Carrying on about things like that doesn't make you look good. You have to simply press on.

No I'm not saying you need to say that. As I said before, everyone's entitled to their opinions. I'm just tired of hearing the same old argument again and again after every single match.
This is not a perfect and glamerous club like some of the others; people seem to want to make it that way; to be perfect.
I may not have been a Warriors fan for as long as you DMM but I've realised in this day and age you never get what you want and doing what we do here, doing the 'crying foul' stuff won't make your league dreams come true and it has become very noticeable that fans are totally obsessed with this and every time it doesn't quite get there it becomes a battleground of raw emotion and torrent.

Skinny - people ARE looking forward.

People commenting on potential changes and tactical switches ARE looking forward.

No I don't understand how that's heart wrenching. Here's a tip, search other forums, you'll find similar comments. Do a survey of fans in the crowd, they have opinions. Their opinions are different to yours or mine, that doesn't mean they aren't allowed to voice it. You're getting way too caught up in trying to patronise people out of their right to an opinion, the very premise on which forum's are built on.

You've had a go in another thread on people passing judgement on Todd Byrne not scoring that try. People are entitled to that opinion. You can't honestly look me in the eye and say, gee, Todd did well there. Or gee, he really did as good as we can expect.

Next week I believe we have Souths, perhaps turn up to the game with a big banner reading "They're playing sh!t, so lets be happy", take the pom poms with you and see the reaction. Thats basically how your posts are being viewed tonight.

Can't stand the heat, get out of the kitchen.

I know for a fact st-george's forum is worse than ours, people were saying
their cheif excecutive is a snake where does he live cause they wanted to kill him. It must have been pretty bad cause it was on nrl.com. We don't want to kill anyone, we just want to know what went wrong & how can we fix it. We do this by voicing our opions.

it is strange how the tide turns isn't it. this forum has strange emotions which you have to get along with. not long ago posting anything negative was deemed uncool but now it seems to be the thing to do because the team is off to another bad start ths year. skinny mate you just have to learn how to ride the emotions of this forum sometimes you will be yelled at for even mentioning anything bad other times it will be accepted. the best guide is to follow some of the regular poster like iafeta and dmm.

it can't have been more than a few weeks ago half the forum came down ontop of mosh for starting a negative thread about the team and now everyone is doing it. human emotions are fickles epsecially when it comes to sport. mosh came out the otherside of that thread just like you will skinny out of this thread. and who knows in another few weeks the topics being posted will be different.

god i hate headless chooks who cheerlead for the team regardless of the quality of football that is displayed that week.

skinny, if you do not like opinions, id like to ask why you are at this forum ffs.

A small piece of advice, Skinny.
You don't have to read and/or comment on every thread. If the content is too 'heartbreaking' to read after a Warriors loss, maybe it'd be more uplifting to visit the Westlife site instead.
You should know by now that when the Warriors lose they will be criticised, whether you like it or not, that's the nature of any sporting forum.

If the Warriors win consistently we are all happy. When was the last time the Warriors won on a consistent basis???

You can't blame us for trying to find sollutions to our teams problems.

Careful Skinny Ravs, remember I posted a similar thread to this BEFORE this season even started?

I got bashed for it, and I still do. People go on and on that I don't let people have their opinions all because I called for it to be a little more positive in here.

I agree with you mate.

You`re right, RS... there is such a thing as "positive and constructive criticism", not just negativity. There`s a thin line between the 2, though, so I can understand what Skinny was driving at... but I can also see why so many fans here throw both hands up in frustration after 11 years of mediocre performance. Enough is enough - judging by Steve Price`s facial expressions and the little "huddle" he had with his players (as captain) after the Raiders` final try lat night, he was saying the same "negative" things so many people here are feeling... but probably not as politely as here on the forum.

Please be joking Skinny.

After the last two performances, how can you come onto a forum and not expect warranted criticism?

We want to be positive, but there isn't too much to be positive about.

If you want people to be positive....then write positive stuff, give them a reason to believe what you believe.....then they can make up their minds, in regard to what you have to say.
People generally will react negativily.....when you r critical of them.....like starting off calling them whinging whining fans.
But if it was a reaction you were after you got it girl.

Hmm Skinny i think every teams forum gets abit negative after a loss. I know the Bulldogs one does (not to make it look bad or anything) but you cant expect fans to be happy after only winning 2 wins this season ... and losing in the last 4 minutes last night. I do understand what your saying though.

Thats my 2 cents :)

Hey skinny, I wrote the article on the right just for you. I hope you can see what I see now next time you feel pissed off about how I feel about my team.

Great article mosh.

Sums up the frustration and despair perfectly.
