Social A.I. Artificial Intelligence the end of life as we know it.

I am not the person to offer any insights on this topic from a technical sense.

I am someone who still views my personal computer with the suspicion that it is using some form of dark magic beyond my comprehension.

Feel free to post non A.I. topics that have a tech theme, preferably with some existential theme, down the rabbit or worm hole conspiracies welcome.

Are we all screwed due to the lurching inevitability of our looming fate? about to be screwed? or are we in the Matrix already and unaware?

Personally I see merit in the simulation hypothesis, it would explain why the things at the quantum level do not obey the rules of general relativity....and other weird shit.

I’m not very tech savvy.
I have paid staff for that.
But I am worried about things like AI and Chat CHT/AFB or RTS or whatever the hell it is.
Plus Cyber crime.
Plus the addictions to Insta, TikTok etc by not just our kids and youth but adults.
Plus drones.
We are developing Generation D for Dumb.
My grandkids are forever on a device.
Jobs being done by machines instead of man.
Technology is killing life as we know it Jim.

We see this two fold effect where the human race is getting dumber while machines get smarter.

And the funny thing is, dumb people thanks to the internet can find like minds, and this confirms for them that they are as smart as the next like minded person.

Then you get this irony of stupid people calling people sheeple.

Its making me lazier by the day as I turn to ask ChatGPT for almost everything instead of using my brain
I'm not using it but the built in AI helper on my browser is inescapable.

I don't trust it for important stuff, I try to look myself at the source material.

I am probably deluding myself since reliable sources from any internet search is a relative concept.

The Chat bots don't appeal to me because they sound artificial (when I say sound I mean read).

I haven't read anything clever from an A.I. from a literary stand point, they sound banal - that will change no doubt.

I've been seeing so many random AI WWE clips lately - Stephen Hawking jumping from the top of the cage through a table, QEII vs Lady Di in a ladder match, MLK cutting a heel turn about not having a dream any more but BEING the dream, Bill Cosby entering the ring with a tray of drinks against some women in the ring, Michael Jackson fighting Hitler, Tupac cutting promos against Notorious BIG, and more ridiculousness 😅

Definitely feels like a massive distraction while the devious gears of control turn against us menacingly in the background hah! 😵‍💫

It's the robots that give me the creeps.

A robot that vacuums your house but can be hacked. Sigh

A robot that mows your lawn but can be hacked by a neighbour opening their gate to get free mowing. Ok I'm a bit ok with that.

A robot that pulls the guts out of a sheep saving the back injuries and arm injuries that former human gut removal people did. Also ok with that.

A robot that goes RoboCop on me or my taxes..... Hate it. I'd definitely keep a pair of pliers to cut as many robotic operational wires as I could. Or if they have cooling or air intakes I'd probably fill them with dust to help orchestrate malfunction.
