The NRL is usually a battle of nutrition, the team that eats the best usually wins. Sorry thought the Kiwis were still coached by David Kidwell for a bit there.

Teams struggled to get through a season with the old top 25 and second tier cap system. The current system seems a lot better. This year there have been a lot of injuries some would be down to the competition restarting. I can understand that for the earlier rounds. If the game has sped up then some would be due to the new rules. The teams haven't had a full off season to prepare for them so we don't know what next year will look like in regards to the injury tolls across the competition.

Junior Ratuva (the 21 year old winger) would definitely be in the top 26 (or 28-30) next year as well - they are really talking him up. Also Patrick Herbert is competing against Keighran and Hiku for a spot. At least one of them will have to miss out, possibly two if its cut by that much.
Keighran isn't in that conversation, he is our 3rd half when fit.

More versatile players that can slot into multiple positions and less opportunity for specialists within the depth players.

If that's the case do they still see him as more of a half option for the squad and centre is secondary to that? His only opportunities for quite some time now have been at centre and that's where he would have been lining up last weekend had he not had the head clash with Harris-Tavita. The club have said they "haven't ruled out offering him a new deal yet, but do want to see him play", so it intrigues me as to where their thoughts are there. Is it possible that they are still looking at the 3rd half situation and that's where Keighran's future with the club will ultimately be determined?

Ideal cover for centre & 5/8 .Also a goal kicking option

He is a full time half, last option resort at centre. Besides having played out of position there just so he was on the field in ISP, where is the center talk coming from? Genuinely curious, not saying you arn't correct.

I'll have a conversation with myself for the time being

Here is who we have signed for 2021 - 20 Kents total

Development contracts 2021
TurnerAleBerrySladeOgden

20 Kents total signed- Blair deciding

If they do only get 26 spots then all 26 will play so need to be experienced rather than picking youth prospects on minimum wage.
22 players confirmed for 2021, with 1 potentially additional one with Adam Blair with his player option.

Its always updated, and is controlled by NRL.

Yeah thanks for that TajHay
I mentioned why I didn't include Afoa but I will go back and edit my post for accuracy to include him.

The other I missed according to your list is Jackson Frei. Guess part of my league learning curve is which sites to trust as zero tackles says Frei is signed to 2020 only.

Will stick to that NRL source and add both Frei and Afoa to my post.

If I remember correctly he played centre earlier this year & went very good

In my gut he has more future at centre.
He is a 6 out of ten distributor
9 out of ten defender
3 out of ten side stepper

He is a well below average half and didn't even do well for the warriors ISP team as a half when I watched him. He seemed to spend half the game puling out his hair in despair because teammates were dropping the pill. misreading the game, or generally not living up to his expectations.

Its probably playing that entire season at centre in ISP and subsequently being named centre of the year that clouds the thinking there at times. Where my own thinking came from was reading today about the club wanting to see him play this year and the only likelihood of him getting on the field at the moment would be at centre, barring injury to one of our current halves of course. I may be reading too much into it because this is obviously a very different season and as there is no ability for them to see him playing at half in reserve grade it could simply be a case of wanting to see how he goes on the paddock in general.
