Even if that’s correct about coaching quality, and who knows it might be, I don’t think we have the cattle to match it with the Doggies across the season. Their attacking options look considerably superior to ours.
Defence
Seeing all the teams named gives u a bit more of an idea-
Looks like some of the top teams have just come back to the field a bit… panthers, storm, eels.
Roosters look super strong but there’s some concerns with critchton while keary and Radley are a head knock away for retirement.
Sharks and cowboys have managed to pretty much keep the same teams together- in saying that I thought they both over delivered last year so not totally convinced.
I like that manly line up- think people are sleeping on them.
Us and the raiders and tigers are the wildcards- capable of putting it together but it’s all a bit unknown.
Titans should improve.
Broncos have one of the most talented lineups but hard not to see them imploding over the course of the season- u got the tc robati thing, the Payne hass thing- these are major charges. Flegler and Farnworth already on the way out and a backline of prima donnas. I can’t see keevie holding it together.
Bulldogs most overrated for mine- a lot of people putting them in the 8- they must think they’ve already got their 2024 recruits on board. Their team line up looks like a hot mess to me.
Dragons, knights, dolphins should struggle.
So with all that in mind- I’ll take a wild stab and say….

I thought 8th was fairly realistic for us and it's a long season...... teams like the storm roosters and the like are still yet to click.

From here (early days) I could see Manly, dolphins and Bulldogs slipping down and Sharks and South’s play like they should be higher.
Unsure on the Cows and Eels this year. Seem to be slightly off the pace.
Early days though and anything could happen with form by origin.

Unfortunately, it does look like Brisbane have too many points in them to miss the 8 this year, shame, might not stay in the top 4 when they actually have to leave QLD. We will make the 8, barring crippling injuires. thats 2 teams.

Eels will need a long run from the back fence, but have had an extremely hard draw, thats 7. Cronulla as we just saw also have a heap of points in them, thats 8. Manly should not be drawing with that knights team, but are good on paper thats 9. ugh someone has to miss out..... maybe the eels are just going to be unlucky this year.
