Hynes is already top echelon. Currently ranked in the top 3-5 players in the game depending on who you talk to. To lure him, we'd probably need to offer 1.5m or so (under the new CBA).So with that in mind, I think we need to look at making a big play, before that money becomes standard. For example, if we were to offer players like Niko Hynes, Payne Haas, Suuali - those one step down from the top echelon of players - a million a year, we'd likely see someone sign on with us, however in 2 years or so that money might be more standard for those kind of players so we would have to pay the elite money (another 2 or 300k) to get them.
