Some X-factor about this guy. Only 22 as well. I love those explosive fast hookers coming on and creating havoc around the ruck. It usually gives a bit more space on the edges too.
Well, we might need one soonPlayed really well for PNG
Shame we don't really need a hooker
Do you think we have good options at hooker?Played really well for PNG

At least we don't have JMK or Levi. Things could be worse than who we have,Do you think we have good options at hooker?
I personally think it’s one of our weakest positions.
I reckon Lussick is going to be a gun in a year or so, especially when he fills out. Egan has improved and will probably go better if we can pick and stick with a halves pairing for him to gel with.Do you think we have good options at hooker?

I like hookers to be elusive, strong and fast. They must be elite in one of the above areas plus have a high IQ or a disposition to learn the tricks of the trade. None of our hooking options rank highly in any of those three areas. I have very little faith in Lussick and Otukolo, well atleast the fact that they will develop into outstanding hooker here. I think we need atleast a dynamic option to come in with some of those raw abilities listed above. It will change our attack.I reckon Lussick is going to be a gun in a year or so, especially when he fills out. That said, I think we be a different team with a top class hooker. Just not many of them round and non in the market at the moment
I respect your choices but I prefer a differebt dynamic. I prefer a hooker who is solid defensively, has a great pass off either hand, knows when to run and has a kicking game. Still not sure if any of our hookers meets your list or mine.I like hookers to be elusive, strong and fast. I disagree. I think he'd be lucky to be 10th on his performances in the warriors' jersey. He might be if our pack consistently asserted dominance.
In no particular order:
Grant
Koroisau
Smith
Cook
Robson
Mahoney
Brailey
Croker
Verrills
JMK
Hodgson
Woolford
Hunt
Do you take into account Lussick might not miss tackled but post contact metres are about 5 metres plus every time he made a 1 on 1 tackle?Personally I think the most import attribute of a hooker is a crisp, long and accurate pass
Second very smart decision making and the ability to control the tempo of the game
Third rock solid D
Depending on your halves the running game is a real plus, but I’d take the above fundamentals first.
Lussick has a defensive game that can change the momentum of a game, which surprised me given how skinny he is. He needs to improve his pass but that’s not hard to improve if you practice enough. I’m keen to see how he goes. I’m happy to let Otukolo go, he’s shown nothing that excites me.
Egan…he’s ok, but I dont see him winning us a comp. Obviously I’d take Api, Grant, Smith, Reed or Cook but realistically they aren’t coming to the Warriors any time soon.
