Offered genuine X factor from the front row, ran hard, and always looked determined. Would feel more confident with Paasi over Evans in our starting XVII. If he is gone, good luck mate and a sad lose for mine.

I think alot of his decision will be linked to how he get's on with Brown, and if he is happy with the direction of the club. I can see him signing with NZ rugby on way less $$ if he's not happy. COVID may also play a factor.. But hopefully that's behind us all next year some time.

28 is too old to try to get up to speed with a new sport, especially for a back. I’d say it’s that carrot he keeps dangling to up his market value. Like that he plays for us but think his value is over rated at times

To be honest with a stacked forward pack and depth across the paddock we won’t be as reliant on any one superstar to carry the team.

RTS and SJ before him were worth extra because they were so far above the rest of the squad.

With a balanced team I trust POS to decide where he wants to put the superstar money (halves...). You want your superstar to score and set up tries and be a match winner going forward and RTS isn’t currently that.

Good chance of that happening re the hookers, given that’s there only two specialists in the top 30.

Would have to be Kodi or SOS to fill in as third string then.

To be fair, you might be over-exaggerating with Temple. He’s on a development contract so they clearly expect him to debut either back end of this season or next season.

I dunno. In terms of value for money, I'd say Aitken and Evans will need to actually perform in order to be seen as upgrades. I'd imagine both were significantly more expensive than the guys they are replacing. So I'm not really leaping for joy over them yet.

Montoya is the opposite. Arguably a downgrade, but likely a bit cheaper.

SoS is a downgrade for sure in my opinion. Although I've read a bit that we've not really seen the best of him due to coming back from injury in a terrible team. So I'm not going to entirely write him off. Depth is useful anyway.

No argument about AFB, BMM and Siro though. On paper our pack looks bloody good. Arguably the best it's been in a decade or more.

Agree. I'd prefer we kept Herbert & Keighran over Aitken SoS. And Passi over Evans.
