Pretty encouraging trial, but watched Storm v Knights too and I hate to say it but Melbs would have put 40 on us, massive pack but we still look slow and clueless on attack. No Chanel Harris-Tavita or Egan after the first quarter though. Addin Fonua-Blake and Ben Murdoch-Masila are beasts, Aitken is the best specialist defensive centre we've had for years, Sironen and Murchie were classy.Didn't watch the game! and I could read the preceding 16 pages, however in a nutshell how did we look? Rate the Tits and us (as always) this year, so does the 12 all result reflect a good performance? or were robbed by poor reffing, unlucky bounce of the ball's, poor interchange selections, fitness, blah blah......
Hiku was his usual pants on backwards self, AitKen should be a solid edge, Peta and Fusitua will be the rocks & diamonds side, anything could happen.
What else, Paul Turner and Hayze showed glimpses of x factor, some dazzling footwork and speed, Sully was alright but painfully slow, Curran the future immortal scored a good brute force try and put in some awesome D, Leeson is back to his best, looked bulked up and pretty intimidating in his carries.
Good to see Rocco finally get a game of league, he'll get the hang of it. He reminded me of a young John Kirwan who showed up at the wrong park for a union trial.
Adam Pompey stood out as most improved, and according to Halligan he's grown taller than Ken in the offseason. If we keep growing like this Jazz will be 5' 4" by round 1.
Good base to work on, we're a definite shot at the 8 with Chanel, Katoa and Fusitua back, fingers crossed for Wayde's bicep.
