Rubbish, if it puts off the other guy then its all part of the game. Walker didnt have a gun to his head when he grabbed Cleary and then punched him, he was just lucky this was a finals game and shit like that was overlooked.
IMO your statement is a reaction to Walker's reaction to a barb that probbaly happens in every game, just like the elbow on the face, the push in the back, the heavy handed rubbing of the hair, etc if he hadnt reacted then no one would ever have noticed. If they had been ahead at the time, he never would have reacted.
Proffesional Sport is as much a mind game as any other skill.

I use to like the Panthers but hate them now because of one person - Nathan Cleary. Just a little dropkick of a boy. Look at the things he did when he should have been in lockdown etc. Was awful seeing him get the player of the match medal etc. I will like the Panthers again when Nathan Cleary either retires of joins another club (Then I will hate that club lol)

Just gotta say from history...

Back in 1987, the first RWC, the All Blacks were playing Scotland.

The Scots rugby players are from the educated Scots elite, very polite and very cognisant of the amateur traditions of the game. Generally speaking very pleasant people.

The All Blacks had to win, not to be sporting, just to win.

They gave the Scots a hiding, and every time they scored a try they gave them verbal shite, like saying WTF are you here, you should catch the plane back home right now.

It really upset the Scots and the didn't moan publicly about it but word did leak out that they were upset.

The verbal didn't help the Scots play their best. One could ask was it needed?

i would love to see the end of the niggle, but i cant ever see a time when it wont happen.
Every sport has it. I remember a teacher who played water polo keying us year 5s in to the fact that she had to wear 2 swimsuits to play in as the first one was going to get torn or pulled or rearranged under the water where the ref cant see whats going on. I remember watching Sean Fitzpatrik in a lions vs ABs game punching the shit out of some dude on the opposite side of the ruck and then standing up and telling the ref how to call the stoppage of play.
In pro sports nice guys really do finish last.
