Sione Lousi has a cast on his arm surely he should feature on the list.

That's all a bit confusing - who's actually in doubt for round 1?
This was the last article issued by the club in November...

Injured Vodafone Warriors Manu Vatuvei, Thomas Leuluai, Shaun Johnson and Ben Henry are all on target to make a full return for the start of the 2016 NRL season.

Vatuvei is back running and is expected to resume full training early in 2016 after having surgery on the right shoulder that ended his 2015 season with four rounds still to go.

Henry was able to play just four matches before having his 2015 season ended by another ACL knee injury while Leuluai suffered the same injury after appearing in 10 games. Both players are back running and are on track to return to full training early in the New Year.

Johnson’s recovery is also on schedule. He had two syndesmotic screws removed from his left ankle last week and is set to start running again later this month.

Of the seven players on the rehab list only back rower Sione Lousi and 2015 Vodafone Junior Warriors captain Toafofoa Sipley are expected to miss the start of the 2016 season.

Lousi is forecast to be out for four to six months after needing further surgery on a wrist injury which had troubled him during the season while Sipley, who needed a full knee reconstruction, will start running next month with a return date of February-March tipped.

Nathaniel Roache (pectoral), who played both NYC and New South Wales Cup football this year, will be back in full training next month.

NRL REHAB ROOM

Ben Henry (knee) | Running, full training in early 2016

Shaun Johnson (ankle) | Running late November

Thomas Leuluai (knee) | Running, full training in early 2016

Sione Lousi (wrist) | 4-6 months

Nathaniel Roache (pectoral) | Full training in December

Toafofoa Sipley (knee) | Running, full training February-March

Manu Vatuvei (shoulder) | Running, full training in early 2016

https://www.warriors.kiwi/news/2015/11/10/injured_players_on_t.html

List has been updated with everyone bar Sione Lousi and Toafofoa Sipley expected to be fit and ready for Round 1. Until they actually play the Nines, trial or regular games in any three grades no player will be removed from the list. Good to see most players on that list training to some degree though...

Vodafone Warriors forward Ligi Sao is helped off the field by team doctor John Mayhew and physiotherapist John Love during Saturday's NRL trial against the Dragons. Image | www.photosport.nz

Injuries came into sharp focus in the aftermath of the Vodafone Warriors' loss to St George Illawarra in Saturday's NRL trial at Nelson's Trafalgar Park.

But while new signings Roger Tuivasa-Sheck and Ligi Sao plus long-serving wing Manu Vatuvei all left the field during the 10-46 defeat only one of the three is set to be side-lined for any length of time.

Vatuvei exited the game after 25 minutes when he picked up a head knock hunting down a last tackle bomb. He didn't return but there are no concerns about him being ready for the club's NRL season-opener against Wests Tigers in Sydney on Saturday, March 5.

Plans to give Tuivasa-Sheck a solid workout in his first full outing for his new club were also thwarted.

After being used extensively in the Downer NRL Auckland Nines, it had been hoped the club's new spine would have ample time together against the Dragons.

However, Tuivasa-Sheck also went to the bench early. He was heavily involved in his time on the field, featuring with a splendid cut-out ball to give wing Solomone Kata his first half try. Despite missing valuable game time Tuivasa-Sheck is all set for the match against the Tigers.

Sao's injury is more serious.

The ex-Manly forward had again impressed with his work in the middle but had to be helped off the field after dislocating his left shoulder in the second half. The full extent of his injury is yet to be confirmed.

Of the 22 players in the squad only Shaun Johnson, Blake Ayshford, Kata and Lolohea were used for the full 80 minutes or close to it

With the start of the NRL and New South Wales Cup seasons just two weeks away, the Vodafone Warriors are set to have most of the squad available.

Apart from Sao, Thomas Leuluai, Sione Lousi, Toafofoa Sipley, Henare Wells and Mason Lino are the only players expected to miss the start of the season. Leuluai is scheduled to return in round five, Lousi, Sipley and Lino in round four and Wells in round three.

Bodene Thompson, Jacob Lillyman, David Fusitua, Raymond Faitala-Mariner and John Palavi have been on the injured list recently and weren’t available for yesterday’s trial but all are all set to be available for the first round.

Wasted my time digging around for injuries today when the clubs just released a story on it. Good to see the club keeping us well informed.

What Ive been told is that Ligi Sao has dislocated his shoulder and will be out for 6 weeks. No surgery needed at this stage.

Manu Vatuvei's head knock actually knocked him out. Bar the concussion he'll be ready for Round 1.

Roger Tuivasa-Sheck suffered bruised ribs and should be fine for Round 1.

Ben Henry wasnt injured at all during the trial despite some posts in the Preseason Games thread saying he was. Good to see him get off the injured ledger after being there since March last year.

In case you missed it Bodene Thompson had an ankle reconstruction in December but is on track for Round 1. Mason Lino had the same surgery and is set for a Round 2-3 return.

Thomas Leuluai wont be running for at least another month so hell knows when he'll be match ready. Tore his ACL in his right knee.

Unsure of Raymond Faitala-Mariner and John Palavi's injuries...

Injury delays Wells' Warriors debut

Henare Wells will have to wait to make his NRL debut for the New Zealand Warriors.

The former Roosters fullback injured his hamstring playing in the final of the Auckland Nines in the weekend.

While he'll be behind Roger Tuivasa-Sheck in the pecking order, Wells impressed during the tournament.

Coach Andrew McFadden says Wells will have a stint on the sidelines for "between six and eight weeks".

"He's done some fair damage there. He was in full flight when it happened."

Issac Luke is a possibility to make his debut in pre-season action against the Titans in Whangarei this weekend.

looked more lower leg was at other half of field so don't shoot the messenger but he looked in a bit of pain and the trainers were busy with him he was struggling to put weight on it and trying to walk it off .
Handy information. Might just be a turned ankle but with his run of luck you never know.

Thanks for the reply - so few people got to actually see the game, nice to hear from some one who was there.
