Vodafone Warriors members will have an exclusive opportunity to watch the team train next Wednesday, May 25 from 5.30pm*.

Members will be treated to a BBQ courtesy of the Mad Butcher. The training session will take place on the number 3 field at Mount Smart Stadium.

Looks like a chance to get some questions answered. My cynical self says it will be controlled though.

My question, if you identified 5 players not willing to defend, why are they selected.?

This is hilarious. The Club is in crisis and it's hosting a members Q & A. Madness rules the asylum. The questions we ask have not been answered in the recent past, what will be different come Wednesday. To those who can make it give them no quarter.

This was basically all that said. Wasnt actually the members forum but more an open training session with team signing session. Floor was opened for questions though. Cappy had his say but I missed it when I was outside catching up with people.

Normal things said about improving blah blah blah. Jim Doyle put the emphasis on the players for the on field results. From what I was told by those that know its Eric Watson thats batting for Cappy. Hearsay of course so dont take that as gospel.

As for the training session. Watched as the players walked on the field. Interesting to note that Ryan Hoffman and Thomas Leuluai were walking shoulder to shoulder leading the pack. Right behind them were Jacob Lillyman and Shaun Johnson followed by the rest of the players en masse.

They did the normal drills. During the suicide run drill it was Nathaniel Roache, Blake Ayshford, Jonathan Wright, Bodene Thompson, Jazz Tevega and Sam Lisone leading the way (They finished in that order with the rest following). The laggers were Albert Vete, Ligi Sao and Shaun Lane.

The opposed session cracked me up when they basically played touch and did the same Shaun Johnson backdoor, centre backdoor play they do in real games in about every goddam play. They honestly had nothing else.

Got a bit of video on the shuttle runs and will share once I can figure out how to upload it...

That is an awesome video and the kind of session that would be very beneficial to this forum.
Pity only 4 questions were asked.
I think we need a forum representative attending these sessions armed with the most currently sought after top 10 questions.
Opportunity to get some facts straight from the horses mouth.

Haha brutal listening to the fans and the CEO talking about how the shit you were in the weekend.
Nice tactic....nobody is going to ask any nasty questions when Shontane is making you walk to the front of the room to speak with the players all sitting their listening and watching you!!

Awesome. Thank you so much for posting that video up. Unfortunately it sounds like to me more bullshit from Jim Doyle, where they try to deflect any blame or ownership of current problems facing club onto others such as coach or people who's job it is to report on it. Where that may work in corporate setting in real world it doesn't and if there's one thing more than anything watching that video that annoys me personally is not once in that video does he apologise or say sorry to the fans who are clearly hurting over club recent actions on and off the field. But we know why he didn't because to do that is to admit responsibility for it as the club CEO and he isn't prepared to do that not when doing that would make him part of problem. Another thing to stand up in front of members and give them same tired cliche response of "We don't know what problems are, if we did we would of fixed them by now ... " is to me, farcical at best and insulting at worse because if he really didn't know what was wrong with club do you really think he would still be there as the club CEO ? Of course not. He does know what the problems are he just doesn't want to admit them to us now that club is in serious damage control as their season continues to spiral out of control. In my opinion the place is a joke and It's the least they could do is say sorry ... :sorry:

Boy that was amateurish. And we are supposed to be a professional organisation?
Good PR that wasn't!
I have lost all faith in Doyle to show any sort of leadership.

The players looked miserable. I can totally understand why, but yeah, it all seemed a bit of a shambles really.
