Mt Smarts tv screen is bigger than this monster!!!!

I have one like that at home - Lady Gnome watches soaps on it when I am watching sport on our big tv

Further to Mt Wellington's post.

JD indicated that there will be 4 Friday night home games next season. Kick off time 8 pm.
The first game of the season will finally be at home.
It appears the Warriors are seriously looking at resting their top players from the 9's next year.
They are finally going to take the trial games more seriously.
JD spent time talking about how the team need to start winning games at the start of the season. ( as we have all discussed previously)
Next season a lot of players are playing for new contracts and that should hopefully have a flow on effect on their performance on the field.

Apart from the Foran announcement hearing about the new big screen made my night. I will finally be able to see those replay's.

Dont know how to interpret that commment that they will take the trials more seriously.

What does that mean? Historically they've been pissing around well into preseason or they intend to train hard to win the trial games?

I strongly believe everything needs to build for game one of the season. They need to win game one and break the hoodoo. Trails are just that. Trails.

And thanks to Cappy and JD? their priorities were all messed up this year.

Simple really. The Warriors plan to start the season with a hiss and a roar. They plan to change the Warriors traditional bad starts to the season and win more games in the first third of the season.

Jim GODoyle spoke of the team having to reverse that trend because if you start off bad you spend the rest of the season chasing to make it up. With that comes the added pressure of having to make that ground up and all the associated problems that pressure entails...

Warriors home is Mt Smart. Eden Park only becomes a factor if the Warriors play a home game during the finals and even then that will only be because the NRL make the call...

Mentioned last night that over the last 11 seasons we only average 3 wins from the first 8 games!!
That's a fairly average first third of the season that needs to be rectified!!

Wasnt the last 8 games section even worse? Something like 2 games out of 8. IMO thats even worse. No club with that kind of average in the latter part of season is going to go far in the finals with that kind of leadup regardless of how many wins they have had in the first 2/3 of the season.

Last 8 is when the pressure hits and the team wilts. Its all about getting a great start so we arent chasing our tails at the end of the season as it was explained by Jim GODoyle...

I've always harped on about stats and have always said that if we win 6 out of first 10 games we always make the finals, but anything less than that, we never do. That's with the stats that I have. So I've always considered that our FIRST 10 GAMES are equally important to our season than any other combination. Win 6, we're a shoo in. So I'm glad they are going to focus on making sure they get off to the start that they need to.
