They can always change the team before kick off.

Remember Nieslen was named last week with Hurrell playing instead and how many times have we seen coaches changing the props and dummy halves before kick off.

At least John is in the team. He's been going well since he came back from the UK, he's not Foran but can still do a job and I'd rather we have two play makers instead of just the one that is still developing.

Roger Tuivasa-Sheck, Hiku, Beale and Whare also have a lot of promise.

He can based on Permanent Residency grounds i guess, but personally that is the last thing i want to see happening. He is a proud Qlder and as such should be representing his state and country. The mere thought of this is highly hypocritical especially when the majority condemn Karmichael Hunt, James Tamou etc for switching allegiance from NZ to Australia just because they lived in Australia. I want to see players in the NZ team who are willing to do anything for the jersey and hold it in the upmost regard. Not just because they have lived in the country for 3/4 years. Might as well kill the international game and have games based on where people live then.

You Kenny Bromwich doubters are obviously doubters, but I've been keeping an eye on him stats wise because he's in my Nearly NRL team and he actually does a good job stats wise. He may be invisible during the match, but he is working his butt off.

So I'm all for his call up for this test.

Hes an OK player. A national rep honour for a player who plays on the bench for one of the supposedly weaker forward packs around though? His past 2 games have been impressive stats wise (he cracked 100 metres both games) in just a tad over 40 minutes. If he got picked on those two games, then i am okay with it. However it is likely he would have been in the mix earlier, and i dont know how when you consider his stats. (he only cracked over 50 metres twice in the first 6 rounds, highest being 70ish metres, both were in Round 1 and 2.). That is not the hallmarks of a player in form throughout the season, and who justifies his inclusion ahead of someone like JWH. If he was touted as a possible Anzac Day Test player prior to his past 2 games, then statswise or whatever you want to look at, the fact is the selectors are scraping the bottom of the barrel due to the lack of available personnel, not because he demanded his inclusion in the team due to form.

BS .....all lies
Come out with the truth ....it has nothing to do with his on field form.
You seriously believe that spin.

Harris isnt in form.
Eastwood isnt in form
Bromwich while in form, in still young as hell and not proven at NRL level yet.
Blair has been OK.
One things for sure, our last match against the Aussies was a piss poor effort. Someone had to get punted to the curb for it, otherwise it goes on and on forever.

56 metres from nine runs. That's not awe inspiring stuff, and if he can't get his head round international footy then he doesn't deserve a spot in the team on potential alone. I hate that word.

I just hope Kerney continues to pick players who perform at the top level and isn't just trying to save face, and his job, with a few big axings.

He just got given a new contract so i doubt that is motivation.

Listening to Tony Veitch just now throw sleeping pill and conduct allegations at Tony Iro for the Non selection of Williams and Hagreaves....I actually feel sorry for our selectors.

Phil Holden made it clear they aren't allowed to out the Mongrels who wrecked the World cup....I like this response from Iro on the Williams Boycott "I don't even know what that means "

How can Williams Boycott his national team when his camp knew the Kiwis weren't going to pick him ?

His management have to protect brand SBW the Boycotts a Joke....Iro said they told Sonnys lot that he was out earlier this year.....

The reason Iro is forced to give is the " Planning for the future .....we knew he wasn't going to be playing Rugby league next year "

That's laughable.....Iro knows as well as the rest of us that the Kiwis have only beaten Australia four times in the last thirty games.....Kiwi policy has always been to pick the biggest names available to them for any given match because the reality is....the thing that protects the jobs of Kiwi coaches and Management is the 'odd win' here and there whether that be a random one in two decades win or a World cup final or a random four nations final.

People seem quick to defend players after this huge selection fall out....my question is...why would you ?

The one thing Phil Holden made clear ....was that the Kiwi medical and management staff were the ones who raised the red flag over the sleeping pill debacle.....It was our own staff.....not some news hound.....that exposed these pricks to sell a few papers.

I'm staunchly proud of the Kiwi colours and as such I say good on you Kiwi management,,,,,,fk these losers I don't want them anywhere near my countries colours......

The mere fact that Kearney had Issac Luke come in and talk to our players last night says the Kiwis are honoring their legends and punishing the pill popping bastards.

Gonna be interesting to see how this game pans out I'm certain John and Shaun Johnson will be our main playmakers no matter how much they stir it up in the media I can see Harris defending the middle but not the architect of our attack.

I won't be surprised to see Hiku or Sheck come in at first reciever at times during scrums near the line it's gonna take uncoventional tactics to unsettle oz, it's gonna take bizarre outraegous tactics and heaps of luck but we can't be predictable all the time, I think the players chosen will do a good job.

We all know ozzy will bring the intensity for 80 minutes that's just them but the pace of the ruck with good service from Benry and later on Havili it might suit our youngsters like Scheck,Whare,Hiku,Johnson,Taupau,Bromwich's if they play up tempo for long periods and get some momentum similar to how the Warriors did against the Storm then anything's possible, lead well by Mannering these young bloods will be amped and fearless.

It's a fresh start removed from the world cup final rubbish, time to put some pride back in the jersey we're better then the hidings we've been getting, we've been too respectful and in awe of them, there's a time and place to be respectful and it's not on the field, these fullas are our enemies it's time to show huge courage and take it to these pricks, absolutely confront them and bash them hard, that's our style, then after the game all hunky dory but when it's game on it's war and I'm looking forward to it.

Guys becoming eligible for the Kiwis because they play for a NZ team in an Aussie team has always annoyed me since the days Lee Odenryn was talked as being a wing option for the Kiwis after a few years for the Warriors. Becoming eligible on residency worked better in the amateur or semi professional days when someone would move to another country for work or family reasons.

I'm glad Lillyman is still an aussie trying to play for Queensland.

I know we probably need any advantage we can get but we also need to try and keep some respectability to the international game. I know that sounds stupid when we pillage the minnows and Australia pick Kiwis as they need them for Origin.

Anyone know if Suzie the waitress is still available and can get to Brisbane pronto? Or if she's got some Aussie rellies we can tap up?

Only way I'd be playing it is if we're up in the Aussie 20 and we get a penalty - unless it's within 5m or so, take the two points! If it happens again - take the kick! Do whatever it takes to get possession as much as possible, obviously go for the try if it looks a near certainty but I'd rather see ugly and boring and 60% possession than razzle dazzle and 30% possession and down 18 pts after 10 minutes. Restart first, try second. Grind, grind, grind.

On the last tackle, kick for a definite 10m gain rather than risking a 20m gain and hitting too short. If close enough, don't kick like you've got heaps of room, grubber too soft rather than too hard (assume the 7 tackle rule applies Friday?, even if it doesn't, better the Aussies start the set from 3m out than 20m out).

Mannering, Blair and obviously Johnson (trying to think of other senior - in terms of Kiwis games - players here...I'd say Harris/John but they're not senior even if their position says they're in control) have to take control and heck, even if it's not the "official" game plan, make restarts/regaining possession the golden rule.

Screw entertainment, thrilling the crowd etc.
