General 2004 5 cent Coin Worth Hundreds

Was watching the news and the 2004 New Zealand 5cent coin is a rare coin has has sold on trademe for $360

How come its so rare? I'll definitely be on the lookout for one if its worth that much.

They're worth about $150, because only 32,000 were released. I've got plenty from 2003 and 2005, lol... :roll:

Its because only a limited amount made it into circulation in the year 2004

Actually, you might be right. I think they're from 2003 and 2002. Heh...

Plus a heap of 10c coins from 2004. A 2005 10c coin is worth about $40.
