Welcome to your NZWF game day thread for todays clash.

Let's go ruthless on these guys. Canberra only managing a 4 pt win last night gives us an opportunity to make up some of the p/d difference between us and them. P/D will probably end up deciding 2nd vs 3rd this year.

Haven't run the numbers but looking at the two line ups the panthers look the more experienced... it would be close anyway, we're a young team with very inexperienced edges ... still think we'll win by plenty tho

Warriors 12 and under
We have the goods to get the win. I think our forwards should have the edge, especially our young guys when it gets a bit scrappy.
I don't believe that we will run riot. Although happy to be proved wrong. Even a depleted Penrith are still a good team. DWZ having a new unproven centre inside him is a concern. I think we'll miss Capewah there.
And on Capewah and Origin players. I saw Luai playing for the Tigers last night. Are Capewah and Cleary a chance to be playing? I thought I saw something somewhere about Origin players being rested this round?

It's been a long two weeks.

A lot has been made of the weakened Panthers side. A lot of weakened sides have managed to win games during the Origin period. Sometimes future stars end up debuting.

We have a recent example of our side getting tipped over against a weakened side. 2023 against the Broncos at Napier. Looking at that Broncos side it was still a fair side. The main outs look to have been Walsh, Cobbo, Haas and Carrigan.

Time to bring back the old Kearney "stick to the process". Keep focussed on what we have been doing.

No to any origin players, the issue was the flights from perth to auckland.

As well as we are going, I still can't shut out the ptsd of Warriors taking their eye off the ball years past.

Kearney was right about a lot of things, process being the most important.

And even though it is nice to not have the process word rammed down our throats every time someone puts a microphone in front of Webster - there is no getting away from the fact that we are famous this season for low errors, low infringements.

All I want from today is for us to come out of the bye looking structured both sides of the ball.

If we come out with that grind mindset, Penrith will find it very difficult.

If you can't win with your best foot forward playing your way, then it just might be the other mob played amazingly well and you might need to accept it with humility.

Hate Saturday 5pm games, miss the first half as still at work!

Hopefully the results a forgone conclusion once I start watching and we don’t have one of those big second half comebacks!

A classic banana skin game. Big event with it being the "Mānawatia a Matariki" game, TMM's 100th, Marata's 50th club game and family round for the club. Plus directly after a bye into a hungry lower team. Only thing missing is a new jesery .

i'm pretty confident we can win and the more we win these amped up games the better we will be come finals.
