RTS was used by us as a battering ram for years when he was at fullback. He was also used in the opponents 20, but let's not act like he wasn't also doing massive work out of our own end.
I cannot believe our 2 starting backrowers played a combined 140 minutes and made 27m between them. That is absolutely disgusting, especially considering the load that Tohu and AFB were having to shoulder.
The bench strategy was a disaster. Not playing Zyon so we could instead play a reserve...
I really cannot believe this. We've signed the Kiwis captain at the peak of his powers coming off a three peat.
How the F have we somehow upgraded our prop rotation despite AFB leaving.
If I'm dreaming do NOT wake me.
I don't mind some robust discussion but it's the short memories of some of the posters - spend 2 years clamouring to get Pompey out of the team, then all of a sudden they want to drop RTS to accommodate him!
Agree.
Can't believe the near constant calls on this forum to play everyone out of position. Pompey to second row, RTS to wing, CNK to centre, CHT to lock, Metcalf to fullback, even saw Kosi to prop.
Constant shuffling of the same hand is what shit teams do, and maybe some posters have PTSD...
Our bench really didn't have any punch tonight, and it's only going to get worse having to swap out Jazz.
If we're going to go deep this season we need our depth guys to put their hands up. Ale in particular has had a few games now where he's played 20+ minutes but done very little.
That's the one thing wrong with this current team - there's no easy scapegoat. Bring back the good old days of having go-to excuses when we lost, I was particularly fond of blaming Kata and/or Bam Libone.
All the years we were terrible and this forum was confident we'd still win every game, now we're good and everyone is saying we're going to lose! Bloody hell!
I know it isn't his fault but I'm getting seriously pissed off with Niukore seemingly only playing for us every once in a blue moon. Between the injuries and suspensions he's verging on being a flop of a signing.
