He trained all pre season as an impact middle. Was beefed up a bit and we saw how damaging he could be in that role in the trial.
Small foot fracture in the preseason kept him out till Rnd 4, then some other major foot issue from that game kept him out till Rnd 12. Capewell and Ford we so...
Yea definitely not saying he deserves an out and out spot, just from a personal point of view would like to see him get regular FG in his career.
Think he can negotiate from Nov 1st for 2026. Will be interested to see if the club stands in his way for 2025 if he were to get offers elsewhere...
Have been big on Ale since he came up into reggies. For one reason or another the club just hasn't found a spot for him in grade. Tohu and Walker blocking 13 which I feel is more his actual position not prop, then not getting decent minutes at prop off the bench.
Feel like he's more of a player...
My understanding when we signed him from the Roosters was talented but a lazy trainer. Think it was 2022(maybe 2021) he had a belly rivalling Georgie Rose, was well out of shape.
From memory we also signed Marata in early 2022, so not sure how that tracks either with what he's saying.
Decent...
I'd be more than happy to see a trimmed down RTS on the left wing next season.
We don't have a stack of out and out wingers at the club, I'd rather see RTS with a full pre-season at left wing, but just don't have him anywhere near centre. We simply can't start next season with Montoya on the...
Completely different squads though in 2023, hell even in 2024 they still have a bang average squad on paper.
They are building, we had a flash in the pan in 2023 and then we reverted back to our usual transmission this year.
Webby is still our guy, but he has a huge mountain to climb next...
Remember last year when we were all stoked we got the better of the Riff assistants?
Good times...
Given the squads of both clubs, I'd say Ciraldo is certainly looking the better of the two in terms of trajectory.
I get it we cop a few dud calls, but so do most lower table teams in fairness if you watch enough games you see the trend. There is an unconscious bias towards teams higher up the table, that can't be disputed.
The fact is the Dogs absolutely bullied us in the second half as they have done in...
Far too much ref cope going on as usual.
Not too many mentions of the 13 errors we made, and just general terribleness all round bar the usual few who have turned up all season.
...I personally feel the coaching staff have a bit to cop for also. I still think he has a fair amount of value as an aggresive mobile middle in 2025. Webby needs to be using Leka/Laban on the edge though, and Marata as a last* resort if they plan to keep him beefed up as they did for this season.
Dogs have a potential top four spot to play for, and our boys have been down at the travel agent booking their early September getaway to Mykonos.
They also have the best defensive record in the league, and we don't know how to score which doesn't help our cause.
Hope the boys can figure it...
TMM/Metcalf is fine for the time being as we are no chance of being in a window in the short term.
But if you want to be up the pointy end, at least one of your halves has to have an elite kicking game with a sizeable boot for getting you out of trouble.
I thought this was going to be the year CNK would join the top fullbacks in the league. But he's had a pretty forgettable season after the improvements he showed last year with ball in hand.
Can't fault his effort. But do we really need him taking two hit ups a set and wasting all his energy...
Hate to say it, but we are probably more likely to jag a win with TMM in there as long as he is fit and playing in the Riff to Cows run of form.
I had absolutely no confidence with SJ in there.
I had a listen to SJ's podcast thing today out of curiousity, and he tricked me good and proper.
All we got is short ball SJ...
Feel for him, but father time is calling my guy.
