To me, both wins on par with each other... our depth players sent a rocket up the injured regulars asses ... as if to say, we can do it, so pull your bloody fingers out when you get back...
I think the returning regulars should be gradually introduced. One or two and the rest play reserve grade and slowly bring them back in.
I think Webby now knows what the depth can deliver to hand over abit more responsibility. So hopefully a slight change in the game plan.
SJ doesn't need to...
Well I hope the boys get out there and have some fun... I noticed they were off loading more last week than the entire season... keep it up, keep the ball alive, be unpredictable..
Probably the best team we can field this week. Some on here maybe disappointed about a couple of omissions etc..
But just hope the boys repeat last week ... play and enjoy the moment.
Keep Bennett's fins honest .. can't ask for more really...
CHT and Freddy must be in the 17 squad this wk. Egan out, TMM, Taine, Montoya and Ali possible outs..
Pretty much the same 17 if they can... means a couple more position changes, more unpredictability good stuff.
If anything just hope the boys balloon don't pop on the back of that heady win...
Well for once this year, we won't be so predictable. Could be a predictable shambles too..
Just hope the boys go out and play the best they can. New combos etc could spring a couple of unexpected surprises, who knows!!!
Everyone's pretty much summed it all up ...
The last few games brought us back to earth with a thump..
A few bad luck calls and at least 2 should be sin bins didn't help.
Webbys got a headache now with SJ going down throws the spanner in the works 3 half's gone now. And a bunch more injuries...
I think it's a good thing that Webbys experiencing the lows as a head couch this year.. and let's face it every head coach goes through it at least once in their career.
The 90min draw with Manly broke the camels back for some reason. To the point where the boys look burnt out and can't bounce...
Man how wrong I was... really thought this game would play us back into form.
Needed to, got 2 tough ass games coming up...
Oh well top 8 is still reachable.. top 4 probably gone now...
Actually just watching and thinking about the first half.... the boys are begining to get back into form... strange as it may seem, still expect us to win, just!it's how we do it....
But the signs are there... nothing like a late charge up the ladder, don't you think..
Actually Webby never used it as an excuse and neither do I, he warned everyone about this long before game 1 of the season.
I guess he saw it with Panthers after their first success but unlike us they could handle it..
I think field the strongest team and bench, whoever that is.. but the big thing is a 10 day break..
Webbys right, we become a target for all 16 teams. And now we can see it, our boys have been suddenly put through the wars and look cooked just after just 8 rounds.
So it's not a matter of making...
I thought he did well, the type of player we need, keep him in the FG mix this year to learn how to manage longer spells, then JFH can take him under his wing next year who knows, could end up being a starting prop sooner
Hope he stays healthy ...
Yep that's not going to win prems... I thought he would of after the dragons loss.
Needs to start the tough love shit... like Bennett did years ago to Lewis and others.
One other thing that gets to me is the assistant coaches... where's their accountability? They seem to hide in the background...
Rated it F, titans are potential wooden spooners... yet we lost. (Period)
We seem to be carrying too much garbage.
Age and agility is showing, I've had a gut feeling this year was never our window for a prem.
At least 1/3 of our players are not prem quality. And neither is the assistant coaches...
We look like a 2 stroke team of predictable geriatrics... blow their load in the first few minutes.. then can't keep up with the Mrs..
Looks like 2nd year coaching syndrome for Webby I'm afraid..
Need a new approach, we ain't the Panthers so need to change things need a left foot kicker to...
Well picked 12+ to the wahs... I think Webby would of given them a big ass rocket about attitude and commitment..
Probably why there's next to no changes in the team.
Full respect to the vets and current serving forces. Hope its a great game around, worthy of an ANZAC day.
Great signing, certainly puts everyone's mind at ease, with AFB leaving.
A leader who'll be a great mentor and on field chief for our young props.
Still a few good years left in him too.
So welcome home to Wahs for 2025 JFH..
