Shaun Johnson won 67% of the games he played at Halfback for the Sharks. Unfortunately for their supporters, John Morris was reluctant to give him the #7 jersey. 7 out of the 12 times he played Halfback for Cronulla occured after Morris got the sack. Josh Hannay got himself 5 wins on his CV from...
Walters doesn't keep dropping him though. He played career high minutes a fortnight ago & is establishing himself as a regular in the side. He's no reason to ask for an immediate release. Snap him up if he did, but I don't see why he'd currently be unhappy
I actually like that idea after disliking him previously at the Broncos & Titans. Average of about 117m pg as a Dolphin.
Wayne Bennett is too smart to let him go though with Gilbert out all year & Flegler out indefinitely.
Slightly out of date but the following link & the post it was replying to covers the majority https://nzwarriors.com/threads/kiwi-eligible-player-in-the-nrl-2024.543/post-25846
Not sure if this info around his contract details has already been shared.
Also not sure about the "starred" part. This season he played 7 times, scored 2 tries, kicked 6 out of 8 goals & his side was victorious just twice when he played. Won their other 2 games without him.
It must be hard to get many 5th tackle plays alongside SJ but he had returns of 50m, 13m, 64m & 31m (although just 9 mins) before the latest injury. While we did score off one of his bombs earlier in the year he's had no Forced Drop outs in his 23 matches to date.
Probably a bit harsh of me to...
Stats from last weekend show that Farr didn't kick in play at all. Hanson gained 41m (less than Setu Tu) & Tuaupiki 467m!
More halves that are reluctant kickers, to go alongside TMM & Metcalf, is a concern going forward
Under contract for another year but how valuable would Erin Clark be on our bench right about now? A lot better impact & versality from the bench than a Lussick/Roache
Auckland born, former Australian Schools captain in 2019. Played #13 for them but hasn't played there in NRL. Dogs used him in the Second Row or bench dummy half.
Not sure if we would take an interest in him but imagine he'd be a cheap signing as he'd need us more than we'd need him
At the same age Nathan had a year of first grade under his belt & Australian Schoolboys/Junior Kangaroos on his CV where as Jett is yet to play Jersey Flegg. Have injuries slowed down his development to date?
Jett Cleary is yet to play Jersey Flegg & one can only imagine that the Panthers won't elevate him up there this season if he isn't sticking around. He also didn't feature in the last 2 rounds of SG Ball so hasn't played since the 16th of March.
If he isn't injured, why wait until 2025 to start...
