And next year when we don’t have CHT, or Boyd and we’ve sidelined Mets then what?

Start again with Hanson and Cleary?
I mean give the keys to Boyd and sign him longterm.

All of which is going to be a moot point anyway because the two andys have hitched thier wagon to Metcalf.

We will sign CHT and Boyd will likely end up at the dragons. Or even Brisbane Broncos perhaps.

Signing Metcalf on the back proving he's a liability to this team will be a stain on webby.

We had Boyd at the club and they crumbled to the pressure instead of making him earn it. What does the club owe Metcalf!? It's Metcalf that is the one that ows the club now.

Stability in the 7 jersey is what this club needs.

Enough said from me on this point.

We'll be celebrating if Luke comes back at 7 pushing Boyd to Cup or bench, and we go on a 10 game winning streak

But if we lose 3 in a row and he pulls his hammy, imagine the blow torch from the fan base and the media, and these players like to read comments and headlines for some reason....

You assume he wants to stay.

He was the only 7 we had that could score points. Boyd was bad before he came good.

Another massive assumption that we can re-sign CHT

Now it’s just emotional nonsense.

Again, youe making massive assumptions. You do realise the players have a say? And despite Webby and the Warriors improving, Auckland and NZ isn’t that attractive to Australians.

Yup okay yes of course they have a say. I agree I'm assuming a hell of a lot! But that is what this forum is all about.

I am seeing this as if I was the guy in charge and I know that's preposterous!

I would hate to be in thier shoes for sure, and I totally trust the coaching staff. But after following this club 27 years the 7 jersey has been hard to nail down.

I personally would love to think that Boyd would take it up here given the oppertunity. I do realize that the club has probably given him a lifeline and that he's now suited for another go in Australia. I dont think you can say the same for Metcalf.

He's a top priority to resign, in my eyes. In a side focused on defense, having a half that can take out props is a massive plus.

But yeah, he'll be in high demand.

It's a shame about Boyd, because I actually think you're right. Convincing Aussies to stay is a tough ask.

I've been tough on Metcalf, particularly his tendency for injuries, but players like Doueihi have come back from three ACL clangers, so there's always that possibility.

It's just such a shame because Metcalf is an absolute gun.

Friggen stoked with that win. Although we missed some points (TT, I’m looking at you), the D was amazing. The old heads leading the way, the youngsters just killing it. Ford back to the top of the Dally M’s.

LIFE IS GOOD!!!!!!!

Bring on the Tits!!!!

We'll he's five years senior to Kini so he better hurry the hell up!!
Wow. I'd give one nut to go back to being 26. We make it sound like he's ancient. Our new incoming winger is older than that. Charnze is actually Rugby League ancient. He's who I would demote currently. And so anybody else who wants to give opinion on Taine for or against, be my guest. But I've stated mine and this is my full stop.

What impressed me was our physical our defence was against the Storm. We really frustrated them! In the past against them we didn’t have that same intensity in that 17 game losing streak against them in Melbourne. Our pack was immense! No one had a bad game

The average age of retirement in the NRL is 25-28. Let’s call it 26.5 even. Less than 15% of the players in any given season are over 30.

Taine is middle aged and approaching geriatric.

I agree 100 percent! We have shown Metcalf great faith and he's not returning the favor. Im sorry Metcalf but you must put the team first and get in line.
lol you give the guy 1 and a bit games after returning from a major injury to “return the favour”? There’s from very tough markers here, it’s similar to the shit both SJs used to cop if they didn’t pull out a miracle player every game

I think it's gonna be really tough to back up this week after the historical event
It's entirely up to the team whether they apply themselves exactly the same way again or not. Fish has said it a couple of times after good wins something like "We've got to stay mid. We can't get too high off this".

Whereas last week it was two teams stumbling with consecutive losses (which we got up for at Melbourne's expense), this week it is two teams riding high after big wins (us with the hoodoo broken, Titans with their first 50 of the year), so both needing to backup from the high.

Fingers crossed we've learned from the Tigers/Sharks hiccups and Titans fall into the we-got-this-don't-worry-boys trap :ROFLMAO:

In all seriousness we have 4 wins and 2 losses to reference what went wrong and what went right.

I'm of the confident speculative opinion that we should buckle them off our defence. Then let the attack be built off of that. Do it team!!!
