I mean RTS and Dallin were terrific last night.....in fact up until this point, Dallin has had a very good season
He is not an ideal player to chase that premiership we are all after though and he is aging.

Watch his finishes, he can't get the speed to go aerial anymore like he used to.

I like all these guys, but like I said, we need to build a brand new back line around Boyd and well everyone on here can at least agree on that point whether they like Boyd or not, we all agree most of our edge needs to change (people just don't agree on who needs to go).

I say flick all the older guys and keep pushing in the direction of your Warbricks and Andersons etc.

Just went to a supermarket in Auckland this morning after yesterday’s cyclone panic buying , the place was dead.
Wearing the Warriors shirt proudly, still saw three others in theirs. Had a quick chat, even a couple of randoms said “great win.”
Great feeling around the place today.
so the blues debacle wasn't part of the convo? Good to know that it's the NRL that you guys were chatting about.

3rd time lucky eh, Webby had a good crack at them in Melbourne in 23, 24 now we finally rolled over them like we did the first 3 rounds
In a way I'm kind of glad now that Coates got us at the death in 24. Ending that horrendous hoodoo deserved a hiding, not a tight 26-24 result.

webby stuffed up the winning run for rushing metcalf back. Should’ve eased him in 20-30 mins every game.
Logistically how would that have worked? Would Healey not have played or would we have run one less forward?
I see Webster as having had 2 options. One was to bring Metcalf straight back in (under minimal pressure to win because of our 4 & 0 start) or to bring him back via Cup. In hindsight he chose the wrong one but I don't see how a third option of drip feeding him minutes, in a position that he didn't play once in 2025, at the expense of a hooker or a forward was one

You guys are putting a lot of faith in Boyd wanting to stay in NZ and I'm not convinced that's true. His story is different to say Fords or Metcalf's.

Disagree. He loves it here - demonstrated by taking the option last year. Metcalf needs to go what Tannah did. Reserve grade to get some miles and then wait for his chance - if Tanner keeps playing well then no changes. CHT and Tannah will be resigned - Jye Linnane is a worry as his injuries seem to be taking a while to get right. Cleary is 2 years away from first grade. Hanson still developing.

Expect extensions for both.

Massively enjoyed our physical domination tonight. Stefano is just not up to origin the way we bashed him tonight. If he gets picked, I'd have grave concerns for the blues. Not that I particularly care.
Stefano's mouth got him in trouble and he never backed it up.

Demi on the other hand said he wanted to be a player that others don't want to run at. He is backing those words up nicely

This is a good feeling.
Something about those hearty style wins just feel good.
Man old habits die hard, I was still worried with ten minutes to go. Just can't shake that feeling off.

Last night confirms that this side are happiest when CHT and Tanah are playing, like they actually pull finger and play for each other.

When Metcalf cam in and CHT was dropped, it was like something snapped in the players minds and they dropped lip - it really felt like a protest.

Which if true would be alarming, that is coach losing the dressing room stuff, but Webster being Webster managed to pull his troops together, as he always does, and get them to shrug off adversity.

Last buzz word was process, now it is resilience, but at least we can all see and understand what the latter means.

Waking up fresh as always after a good Wahs win! Some thoughts:
- Vaimauga was my MOTM. He was showing that enforcer potential with aggression and power and we're nowhere near his ceiling - JFH is the perfect model for this guy.
- CHT has to be the 6 to Boyd. He stiffens up the defence and can shut down right side shape with a spot tackle. Love his beltings.
- Ali was quietly great. Really monstered their left edge players. Hes a better fit than Charnze. Our right edge was scrambling well from the inside.
- I liked the combo of RTS and AKP. Roger covers the contact and given the chance AKP will score off a skinny 5m sideline gap.
- Marata's goal line defense is poor. For such a big guy its shocking how often he falls off tackles.
- Least amount of points conceded by any team so far this round, and against the storm no less.

Feels good to rough the storm up with a convincing win. They lost psychologically after Bellamy lost his shit.

Having your home ground STORMED by the WAHS movement will no doubt leave lasting psychological damage to Bellyache….
Reap what you sow !!!!! & now he’s felt the passion of this club through the physical & emotional trauma he’s just experienced…..!!!!

Who are the Wahs he says!!
Kunts been skooled hard knock styles…
Nuff said
Let’s eat again famz…..

What a result that was! I am almost in disbelief at how the Storm have declined this year.

I like AKP on the wing and I will pretty annoyed if Webby bring CNK back at centre when he is fit. We play far better without him at centre.

So moving forward, I would like to see Ali get an extended run at centre and the other centre spot will be between RTS, Pompey or Berry. If they go with Pompey or Berry, then RTS and DWZ can fight it out for one wing position.

What was so great about the win was watching storm totally devoid of what to do in the second half especially and our defence continually turning up with heavy contact. How Harry Grant avoided a sin bin when we were on our line and he purposefully slowed the play down is beyond me and Loiero just can’t help but put shit into his game

Bellamy really needs to look at the way he coaches. Not for me to question one of the great coaches with the results he’s gotten, but watching him at halftime with Joe Chan and the way Chan started the second half, it wasn’t helpful

I had similar thoughts about 20 into the second half. The half time spray did nothing, and that's after they started poorly despite 50 the previous week.

They've lost a lot of leadership over the years that probably acted as a filter between Bellamy and the younger guys coming through. Smith, Cronk, Slater, Bromwich, Kaufusi etc

When you look at who's left - Grant, and an aging Munster, Hughes etc - great players, but not sure they have the same leadership drive to bring the youngsters up.

Now that I've said that - they'll probably go on a 10 game unbeaten run.
