The first half I was thinking we are doing alright if we get down there we are finding a way to get across the line. Just need to defend our line.

The second half we were all over them with the ball. I wasn't expecting that.

Then our defence to finish the game. Not just the scrambling D, the shots they were putting in. Damn I wasn't expecting that.

Man this club when we break a drought it's either really shakey and it ends up being close. Or they make easy work of it and you wonder what the issue has been all of this time.

Sure the Storm aren't the team they were. Still they have been talked up and we still needed to get over the mental hurdle.

Boys did well. Took the early part where it was even. Wore them down like we did the first 3 rounds. Got our confidence up as the game went on and you could see them all putting in on D at the end.
I think it's working out combinations. CHT is the best defensive 6 in the game with Brown. But he doesn't lead the attack the way Mets does. Mets is in the same position Tanah was in last year, coming into a successful team - tough act to follow. His rustiness shows. I think CNK FB, wingers DWZ and AKP, let Leiataua and Pompey run the centres. CHT deserves 6 and Tanah 7. Mets off the bench I reckon. He needs to fit in. He's off the pace right now. TT has a low ceiling. I don't know why he got resigned. Ratcliffe/LeMana/Norris would be better.

The mental template for our D going forward, can always have this to fall back on when start to struggle

A little bit on Melbourne. Seeing Grant, Munster and Hughes denied the possibility of controlling a game for like 70 minutes is all you need to know to diagnose the problem Craig. Their forwards are C- at the minute.
But hey it’s all about US. So good to see us hold our shape at both ends and just pressure a poorer team. So f**king happy right now. Just the best. Love this team!!!
