I think they would be a bit disappointed by that. They have a while still to recruit of course, but none of the big names they have targeted so far have come to fruition.

I could see them going hard for cht- his versatility would give their rooster a lot of flexibility, he’s well known to the public and popular with the players.
Actually looking at that list I could see them making an offer to all them guys tbh.
Probably thinking- if half a dozen warriors recruits are good enough for the panthers…

Their squad is going to look a lot different from some of the superstar filled teams people were posting when they were initially announced as the 18th team.
Reality hitting a bit now.
If they do struggle to sign players or assemble a strong team surely the NRL look a bit closer at the PNG side. I know they have tax incentives but even then how appealing will living in a compound be?

Wonder if it’s cash converters? Wasn’t the main guy kinda shut out of the bid?
I think PNG will look to sign a chunk of their national side and back fill with experienced players looking for a final pay day. I’d think they target Adrian Lam to be the coach.

Starting to get excited about the bears. Every time the thread pops up it’s exciting who they have signed next, even if they aren’t the most exciting players yet.
