I see it beginning slowly. Certainly the Russia-Ukraine Shitfight provides the seeds. Not sure who's going to be the fertilizer - Putin, I don't think he has the nerve to escalate things to nuke level. Trump, I'd say the same. But in the political/emotional times we're living in, who's to say either/both don't got replaced ie assasinated and the next US President/Russian President (whatever Putin's official position is) is several times worse/more bloodhungry. (My inbuilt, admittedly negative, view of thing is: As bad as Trump and Putin are, I'm not sure they're The Worst.)

I think you’re correct. I’ve discussed this with a Taiwanese national and the country is slowly being overrun by Chinese nationals. It’s a matter of time before they have the majority to vote themselves back to China.
China doesn’t do physical war, they play the long game.
It’s 100% better for China to wait 20 more years and have a compliant Taiwan than force the issue, cause in international incident, huge economic backlash and have a hostile, bitter and twisted Taiwan
This is the correct take. Zero reason for China to start a hot war. Much better to subvert and then if Taiwan does try and reunify, you force the US into attacking the very territory they swore to defend.

I’m exactly the same as you. Don’t agree with him on some things but at least he’s trying to get both sides in dialogue. He went to the white house and met trump recently and said he’s a completely different person behind the scenes. Don’t really even find him that funny as a comedian but appreciate his views on some topics
Same. Thought he was entirely insufferable during COVID, but lately he's been extremely non-partisan.
