The forum extensively discusses Roger Tuivasa-Sheck's return to the Warriors in 2024, focussing on his challenging transition from rugby union to NRL and particularly his experimental role at centre. Early concerns raised by a user #3 highlighted defensive workload and positional adaptation, while speculation about alternatives wing or fullback persists throughout, including suggestions he could displace Marcelo Montoya or influence Charnze Nicoll-Klokstad’s role #4. Performance critiques emerge, noting his error rate and defensive struggles compared to Adam Pompey and Rocco Berry #205, with user analysis #223 attributing some issues to lack of structured attacking shapes on his edge rather than individual flaws alone. A turning point comes when coach Andrew Webster publicly acknowledges the centre experiment hasn’t succeeded and considers a wing shift to maximize involvement #272, corroborated later by trial reports confirming his effectiveness there #292. Major incidents like a drink-driving charge #63 and subsequent reflections on his leadership temporarily sideline discussions, but statistical highlights in 2025 showcase his resurgence on the wing, including 250+ meter performances #308. Users #304 also emphasize RTS’s cultural impact as a hard-working leader whose dedication influences team ethos, with teammate Shaun Johnson reinforcing this in an interview about club culture #302.

It is such a roll of the dice. I don't care where we put Charnze. If he's fit he will not let us down.
Please expand on how he is a liability? Honestly baffled at where this Egan slander is coming from.It is such a roll of the dice. I don't care where we put Charnze. If he's fit he will not let us down.
RTS has proven his value is solely at fullback and one wing better than the mighty Kosi.
Like Frank's 2nd row thesis I would like to add a hooker micro thesis........ Egan is a liability at present. Vs the Bunnies he was gold.
Lussick to start. Roache as half and hooker back up.
Good question. To be clear. My thoughts of his being a liability is only based on what you said which is his defensive technique. I think I might be happier if he was a turnstile rather than his courageous self because the cost of his defensive technique is less of a worry for me about the team's performance. Though I want the team's performance to be better. Its more about concern for his long term health and the protection of him. And upon reflection of your question I don't consider it slander like if I call SJ princess or say someone in particular was shit. Egans play is good and important but in my opinion he takes to much damage and therefore is a liability to our team and would feel hideous if the next head knock puts him into a coma or worse. We need to assess and manage the risk and my approach to managing him would be a paid holiday for an entire season or a sabbatical or something to get him right and able to fix technique and allow his head to heal. Like TMM perhaps...???
I understand the point you are trying to make. Hopefully having Healy has removed any doubts.Good question. To be clear. *Edit.... And I don't know if I'm right but it is my opinion and I stand by it.
Carving on the left wing this pre season?Seems to be a confirmation that Roger will be on the wing this year.

'He's carving': The change Warriors hope will unlock RTS
Warriors veteran Dylan Walker has backed Roger Tuivasa-Sheck to recreate the form that saw him claim the Dally M Winger of the Year award in 2013.www.nrl.com
Carving on the left wing and carving on the right, if he was politics he’d make a good centre. Really hope he makes an impact though from the wing. Reading that article, it’s exactly what they said about Joseph Manu and playing centre as what they say about Brian To’o and playing winger. I think he could be more suited to this one though being fit and handling the speedCarving on the left wing this pre season?
Now on the right, does this have any impact?
Surely they practice both sides right?
Wonder if he is playing there while DWZ is out for half the season.Carving on the left wing this pre season?

Gives a bit of insight on positions whether it’s on the money that article, and mentions Tuaupiki potentially taking a wing. I think I’d like Tuaupiki on the right replacing DWZ while he’s out because he and Leiataua have a bit more time together in nsw cup and might strike up a good combinationWonder if he is playing there while DWZ is out for half the season.
Who would you have after tain? Not so much an issue for an ex fullback to play left or right wing interchangeably since fullbacks defend both edges and attack both edges off both left and right center.
I am more pleased for what this signals for Taine who is clearly the heir apparent for the Warriors next fullback.
CNKs versatility all but guarantees a decent path for Taine to become the fullback of the Warriors, perhaps next season, perhaps sooner if we lose another center.
After one pre season run and some Instagram posts............ yepI understand the point you are trying to make. Hopefully having Healy has removed any doubts.
